hi everyone i just wanted to ask
i have been reading about the mummy ride and i know my 6yr old will be tall enougth to go on it .But i wanted to know if u think it might be to scary for her...... :earsgirl:

I would post this question on the Universal board so you can get more answers.

I've never been on it but I've read that it's pretty intense.

I think the mummy would be a bit much for a 6yo.

The Mummy is a very intense ride and has a portion which is a dark, high speed roller coaster. (It does not go upside down) My DS6 loved it, but kept his eyes closed for the roller coaster portion. He rode it 6 times.

My 5 yr old loved this ride, we rode this at least 10 times while we were there in May. This has to be our favorite ride at Universal.

I think it all depends on your child. My son has been riding Tower of Terror since he was 2 yr old and going on upside down roller coasters for 2 yrs now. I would ride it yourself 1st then you can judge how your daughter would do on it.

I agree that it is a very intense ride, one of my favorites at Universal/IOA. My daring little 6yo son (at the time) who enjoys more thrilling rides LOVED it. However my not so daring 8yo son...not so much. He got through it, enjoyed it, but he was scared.

We loved the Mummy ride but my dd was only 4 @ the time but we would let her ride it when she is 6. My dd loves the rides. This yr she wants to ride TOT @ MGM and we're going to let her.

No kidding, its great if your kid likes that kind of stuff. My DDs 7/9 have been riding it since it opened and they love it. They don't even need to sit with me. If there are 2 open spots in the front row they are jumping up there without me. DD7 says the mummy part is a little freaky but knows they aren't real. The roller coaster part makes going through that part worth it to her.

My philosophy has always been to have them try it once. If they don't like it...they don't have to ride it again. The only things they don't like are Tough to be a Bug and Honey I shrunk the audience and they have started to grow out of not a chance on those to ok...I'll go once this trip.
