Is the Meal Deal really a DEAL or NO DEAL?

Hi all! August 2006

We had a great time at Universal Studios!

We LOVED the FOTL Universal Express Pass.

One lady asked us, did we have a super pass or something? I think that was

the second or third time we passed her in line... :wave2:

Anyway, we did try the Meal Deal. It worked out for us. We were in the

parks early and stayed until they closed.

Unfortunately they closed early :sad2:

Islands closed at 7pm !!! and US at 8 !!! WHY?? WHY??? WHY??!!!

At Islands you can eat at 4 places -

Cafe Shoo-pendous (Dr. Suess) Eye catching with the train riding overhead...cool

Comic Strip Cafe (Toon Lagoon), Burger Digs (Jurassic Park) and Captain

America Diner (Super Hero Island). All delicious. Sometimes we just had

jello, a cookie or a drink (soda or sweet tea).

In Universal Studios you can eat at 5 places -

Mel's Drive In (Hollywood), Monster's Cafe (Prod Central) Richter's Burger

co (San Francisco), Louie's Italian Rest. (New York) and International Food &

Film Festival.

Not everyone in our group bought the meal deal.

Some folks only eat once or twice a day.

Others snack and eat little meals...

We did not get the two park deal, but the cashier said you could upgrade

to it later, just save your receipt and speak to a manager.

Hope this helps anyone trying to decide on the meal deal. $19.99 adult
$9.99 children

Bring your AAA card for a % discount on most things at Universal.
(not on the meal deal however)
