We were at Epcot on Sunday and there was a story teller at Japan instead. The "candy cart" was removed.

How would you feel if she was close to death and you were calling her "unprofessional"??? Please people,It isn't all about you!!! Ok, now I will jump off of my soap box! Have a great day!!

Since Myuki was well enough to answer the telephone when the nice people in the Japan gift store called her (several of us were standing there when they called her and the gift store person said she was on the phone -- just in case you were wondering), I term it unprofessional. This was in the afternoon (her 1st show begins at 12:55 and the audience had been there going on close to 2). She's off Fri and Sat as well.
I wasn't the one to call it unprofessional, but I'll agree with the statement. When you are sick, you call your employer, and your employer lets people know. If they had to call her, she apparently didn't call them (an assumption, yes.) Someone dropped the ball, it sounds like it might have been her. People are on their vacations, they could be doing something else. Instead, it sounds like they were waiting for someone who wasn't going to show up.notnothin said:Sure it's a serious post. How can you call being sick being 'unprofessional'? Easily one of the most absurd things I've ever heard.

I've never "experienced" the candy lady but how do you know she is employed by Disney. If she is the only one always there then she may just rent the space out. Even if not, give the poor lady a break, do you expect her to be there 24/7 365 days a year, dear god even rides break down. She is allowed to be sick. In any case, if some one thinks she is that unprofessional then on your return vists don't give her your bussiness.rwodonnell said:I wasn't the one to call it unprofessional, but I'll agree with the statement. It's free. It can be interesting to sit back and watch people jockey for position. My oldest son was probably the only one in our group that didn't seem to care if he got one, but was watching very intently. She asked him what he wanted, and he seemed surprised. Meanwhile, my other two were chomping at the bit for one. I found the whole thing quite amusing.frannn said:will it last if you save it?
