Is the hassle worth the savings - a ticket question

I'm looking to buy our tickets in the next couple of weeks from our military base. We plan on getting 10 day tickets with water parks.

We can either simply get the 10 day tickets, or get two 5 day salute tickets with the water fun.

If we get the pairs of salute tickets, we will save about $40 ($13.25 per person).

Activating the tickets isn't a problem or a question.

I'm wondering if linking the two salute tickets per person will cause issues/confusion for the system when I try to make my FP+ selections at 60 days. We are staying at POR for 14 nights, and plan on using the 10 day tickets on days 2-15 (with the final day being Disney quest for a few hours before heading home)

If I might somehow lose or have issues booking my FP+ at 60 days plus length of stay, I'll just get the 10 day tickets, and forget about the $40.

But, if FP+ for length of stay will be just as easy with the pairs of 5 day salute tickets, then I might as well save $40.

Thanks!

I think you would be fine with the two sets. Just link two tickets to each person. I have had more than one ticket linked to people in MDE. The system will let you make FP+ reservations for as many days as you have the tickets, so if you have a 10 day ticket or two 5 days, it's the same. Save that money!

Buy the 2 5-day tickets. You can book FPs for the total of 10 days.

The booking system is based on the number of entitlements no matter how many multi-day tickets are linked in the account.

Thanks. When I go to activate them on arrival day, should I activate both salute tickets per person, or only activate 1, and then activate the other after my 5th park day?

Activate all tickets when you arrive. That saves you a 2nd trip to a Ticket Window. :)

They may have changed the system but the last time my son and DIL got the 5 day military tickets and had more than 5 days on the trip they couldn't activate the second set until the first set had been used.

This could be a potential issue then; we plan on getting the water park option, instead of park hopper. We will be going to the theme parks a 6th before using 5 water park options. Will this be an issue then? Our first set will still have wp options when we go to activate the 2nd set, which will also have wp options.

We plan on doing 2 -4 games of mini golf, along with 3 water park days. We're making our last day a mini golf marathon to replace our planned farewell to Disney Quest :(

Not sure when loves to dive's son and DIL tried to activate their tickets but my dad activated 2 4-day passes for himself, my daughter, and SIL last June for a total of 8 days for each of them on the 1st day we were there with no problems. We activated our tickets at Disney Springs. If for some reason they won't let you activate all the park days, I don't think the water park options will cause a problem.
