Is the Figment character out by Imagination these days?

We were disappointed not to see Figment in Dec. but a CM told my daughter that he might be back this Spring. Am leaving Thursday, headed to Epcot first and hoping to see Figment! I loved the original ride and characters and still miss them. Thanks!

Figment does appear in the attraction (and the souvenir shop, of course), but I haven't see a Figment character walking-around or being carried around by a Dreamfinder character.

There was recently a walk around Figment character, but he hasn't been around in awhile. There is a rumour that he will return eventually. Here's a picture of me with the Figment character (he's very tall!).

There was a post several days ago by Mecha Figment, who was updating on some character information, and that it is still questionable as to whether or not Figment would return. Both of the Figment costumes were damaged, and Disney has not yet determined the cost benefits of replacing them.

We had been asking about him during the fall after our first meeting with him, and were told he was on "sabbatical" possibly returning in the spring. We would go and check his meet and greet area each time we were at EPCOT!

I surely hope they do! We love Figment. I am glad that we found him quite by accident last Labor Day! We walked right in, he and the CM were all alone and glad to see people.

We just got back on Friday night. I did ask about Figment since my daughter is a huge fan, but I was told he was on a long vacation. No mention of when he would return.

maybe if enough of us keep asking for him he'll come back from vacation. Now where do you suppose Figment would go on vacation or sabbatical!!!

Aww I wish he'd come back Figment is my favorite character and I've never been able to find him for pictures, maybe he'll be back though. I will check when I go to Disney in July and if he's not back I'll ask a CM about it.

We should start a "BRING BACK FIGMENT" campaign!

IMHO, if they would have had the character located near the entrance to the ride rather than tucked away in a little building at the end of the ride, they may create more interest in the ride. If people don't know about "Figment", they might never take the time to enter the attraction.

I know many folks say that the current attraction pales in comparison to the previous one, but DD and I never experienced that, and we still love to see "Figment" each time. That and Spaceship Earth!

You have to admit that Figment is very cute and the song is catchy!!! The more people through the attraction the more people through the store! As with the meet and greet area, it's not a location that lends itself to a great deal of "walkby" browsers/shoppers! Sort of tucked out of the way!

Figment has been my favorite character since my first trip to Disney back in 89. I loved the original ride- but must say I enjoy the current version as well. I hope Figment comes back from vacation before we go in June - my DD6 is becoming as big a Figment fan as her mom

I was at EPCOT last monday, 5/8/2006, and Figment was not out doing meet and greets. Too bad, my daughter loved meeting the characters, and wanted to see Figment.

I say bring back the original ride, and Dreamfinder and figment.
