Is The Disney Store Discount Gone??

I was told yesterday upon making a substantial purcahse that the Disney Store Discount for DVC members was no longer available. Is this accurate?

Yes, that info is accurate. I have seen 10% off coupons in the Family Fun Magazine, however.

It's gone most likely because Disney sold all their Disney Stores to The Children't Place, and there's no reason for The Children't Place to give DVC discounts.

The best thing to do now that we have no disney store discount is buying from disney direct.Im a platinum member now but I never payed shipping anyway and they give the discount.The free shipping is for orders over $150.00 in sales.I dont pay at all now because of my status with them.

When I found out I had rung up a bill of $250.00 and I just walked out of the store and said good-bye forever.I can't see them staying open that much longer with the way they do things and the lack of inventory.The disney store was once a great store when they sold art and everything else disney but now they are a skeleton of what they where.

You might still be able to wiggle a 10% discount out of some stores. I dont' think TCP is any better organized than TDS was when they were under Disney. I've been to my local store and still have received a 10% discount even after other stores had stopped giving it.

Maybe TCP finally got the word out to every store and it is gone forever, but I agree with TiggerGuy, it was great when they sold everything. I guess though what really is the main focus of Disney...the kids and I can see why it is greatly slanted towards them. I can't see much adult stuff coming in when a children's store company owns them, but I guess you never know.
