Is the dining plan required for booking ADRs 180 days in advance?

I have never stayed at/visited WDW without a dining plan. I know it's not required to book your ADRs. But, if still staying at a WDW resort, can you still book ADRs 180 day in advance without a dining plan?

I feel dumb asking. But, I appreciate the information always offered on here. So, thanks in advance.

You do not need a DP or even a resort reservation to book ADRs at 180 days out. Anyone can make ADRs at 180 days.
