Is the CSR more like a Deluxe???

I have to agree....we felt when we first stayed at CSR that it felt more like a deluxe compared to CBR and PO. Since, we havent found a good reason to spend so much extra $$ at a real deluxe resort, we have found that CSR is the nest best thing!!

We have stayed at CSR, and don't dislike the resort. However, it is not on a level of a deluxe. It is a typical moderate, very similar to POR Riverside except for the convention facilities. The rooms are exactly the same size as the other moderates, and the experience there is the same as the other moderates. The theming and grounds are also on a level with the other moderates.

We like POR and POFQ better primarily because of the boat service to Downtown Disney.

CSR definitely has more to offer than the other mods and is a deluxe-lite. My DH loves to use the gym which no other mod offers and I utilize the spa for massages. Yes, CSR does not have interior hallways but is very nice. The kids love the main pool area more than the Cont and Poly.

CSR has more amenities than any other moderate, no shared transportation, the best pool of all the mods, biggest hottub on WDW property, better food court, a spa, a gym and much more. It has many of these amenities because it is a convention resort. I stay at the Cont and CSR is much better IMO. The only thing it doesn't have is the interior hallways

We're already booked for WL in May, but were considering CSR. We have 2 DS (8,6) and think they may have like the pool. Does CSR allow other DIS property guests to use their pool? We'd like to check it out for our next visit.

"Officially", no. But it happens at all the resorts with the Yacht & Beach Club being the exception because they check room keys.

We loved CSR. Pool and bar are great. Enjoyed the food at the Pepper Market. Didn't think the walk was all that long to El Centro.

It is centrally located to all the parks. Plus the bus transportation is great. When you leave the MK, it's the 1st bus queue.

We love CSR too! We love everything that CSR has to offer. Many of the other posters hit the nail on the head with CSR.

Wow, it seems like the CSR has many more amenities than the other mods. It used to be our least favorite, now we are very seriously considering changing it from the CBR. WE have stayed at the CBR twice and really wanted something different. The CSR sounds like it might just be it, especially since it has the Spa and beauty salon. TIA! Has anyone ever gotten a smoking room? If so where, what view, and was it 2 Qs or 1 K?
