Is the Beach Club very "Christmasy"?

We are thinking of staying at the Beach Club next December, because my husband wants to stay there. Also, that is our "home" resort for DVC. I would rather stay at VWL, but we've already stayed there. My husband wants to try something new and wants to stay at the Beach Club. I'm worried I won't get that "holiday" feeling, staying at a beach resort in December. Has anyone else stayed there at the holidays? How was the "feel" of the resort and the decorations?

The Beach Club itself is very well decorated during the Holiday season. At the hotel when we went one holiday season, there was large gingerbread house and some very impressive christmas decoations. We watched the CMs put the gingerbread house together and it was very impressive.

I believe the BC also has a large 3 horse carosel (bad speller). It is made of chocolate and other sweets. I think it is beautiful at Christmas and don't forget the BWV(my home resort) is across the lake and it is beautiful at nice from across the lake.

About 5 years ago we stayed at the Beach Club when their Christmas decorations were up, about early December, and it was lovely. The giant Gingerbread house was great, it had scenes from the Little Mermaid and everything was edible. Also, the tree was very nice, and Chef Louie from the Little Mermaid was at one point reading the Polar Express to the kids. We went back to have a look around this past May, and my 14 year old dd was amazed at how empty the lobby seemed. She had only ever seen it with the gingerbread house and giant Christmas tree, plus the Garland hanging on the banasters. She really missed it, and prefers it with decorations.

We were at BC last Christmas. A couple of CM's told us that they had cut back on the Christmas decorations at all of the resorts. While very pretty, I can honestly say that I expected more decorations. The Poly. was the worst. It was also hard to get into the mood while wearing shorts. The snow falling on Main Street at MK was another story. That was beautiful. We just sat there forever taking it all in. I am glad that we experienced WDW during the holidays, but will stay home for them from now on.

I do agree that there were less decorations last Christmas than there had been other years. However, BC was still very nice. The carousel in the lobby made out of gingerbread is really neat. The decorations throughout are classic christmas stuff. Overall the decorations are nice and will get you in the spirit. However, not as much as the WL. The WL, as you know, has such a cozy feel that is perfect at Christmastime with the Christmas music playing around the resort. We are splitting our stay this year. 5 nights at VWL and 3 at BCV :).

The Beach Club is decorated beautifully for Christmas. You'll definitely get the Christmas spirit there. It won't be the same feel as VWL of course because it's a totally different theme. But, we thought the Christmas tree and gingerbread house were beautiful. Then again, I'm bias, because the Beach Club is our favorite resort.
