My sons birthday is at the end of January and we will be in wdw from feb1-6th. Would it be appropriate for me to tell cm's that he is there celebrating his birthday? CAn he look forward to anything because of it?

I say that's close enough - let the kid have some fun with it! I think you can get a Guest of Honor badge, or a birthday badge, at Guest Services (or City Hall in the MK?) at the parks and he may receive some special treatment - don't expect anything special and you won't be disappointed. But I've heard of CMs calling the guest by name, being pulled out for the parades, etc.

That won't be a problem. You can get the birthday pins in the guest relations office at all the parks.

You may get a magical moment cert. somewhere in the park, a CM will call a special number to get a birthday call from Goofy. CM's will wish you a Happy Birthday. I had them sing to me at Prime Time Cafe.

Now if you expect them to do something you will be disappointed. If you want some type of celebration for your child arrange it and pay for it and you won't be disappointed.

Can someone give me ideas on what to do? Have no problem spending the money.

We were in WDW the week b4 DD's bday. We chose the last full day of our trip for her special 'birthday celebration day'. This was the day we got her a bday pin from City Hall, did CRT for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner. (We only had one other special meal in our 6 day trip). Make sure to tell dining when you make reservations that it's for his birthday. At CRT, our table was decorated for us, and DD got special attention from the princesses. She even got a birthday kiss from Aladdin and BOY was I jealous!

At Chef Mickey's, Goofy and Mickey did a special birthday dance for her in our section of the restaurant.

All the CM's wished her a happy bday, and she got to say 3-2-1 Blastoff! at the Astro Orbiter.

It was a ton of fun. Make sure he's wearing that b-day pin!
