I have done 1 of the 3 ESTA applications.

I feel like I have missed something as it was real easy, only ing you get is ref number, no email confirmation.

Is this correct before I complete the others.

Do the uk airlines find out if you have completed them?

I had to complete one for DH last year and yes, it was that easy! The airlines do know if you've completed one because they will look up your passport number when you check in (I know this for sure because I hold both a UK and US passport and it caused all sorts of confusion when they plugged in my UK passport and found I hadn't completed the form!)

Yes, you get a reference number but no email confirmation and it is as quick and easy as you found it to be.

Keep a note of your reference number in case you want to go back in and print it off at any point, if you haven't already done so.
