Is tax included?

When you get a price quote from the Disney Reservation site, does that quote include taxes? It doesn't say anything at the bottom just says it does not include insurance.

Yes, it does include tax.

On the phone with CRO, it does not include tax. The tax on our 'room only' was an additional $60 a night over the room rate.

The total they quote you should include the tax. I always pay my one night deposit over the phone with CRO and they have always quoted me a nightly rate including tax and a total including tax and then charge the one night deposit to my credit card including tax.

The total tax charged is 11.5% this is a county and a state tax summed together.

What type of room where you getting a quote for that would have had the tax come out to $60 a night. The price on the room would have had to have been around $520 a night before tax.

Just wondering what type of room on property would cost that much? IMHO there is no room worth that much per night.

I called last week with this same question and was told that the online quote page did not include tax. I just called back to verify and was told the same thing - you have to get further into the online reservation process to see the total with tax.

Ok, I just went to the online reservation site and went all the way through to where you enter your payment information and my total cost did not change - so I'm assuming that the CM's were wrong and the total on the initial quote page does include the 11.5% tax.

I called WDTC on Friday to book a 7-night DreamMaker Package (Poly, GV) in anticipation of the 7-for-5 package deal. Total cost including tax: $3,750.55

I just checked online to see what quote I would get for the same thing - Total cost: $3,750.55

So the tax is included.

On the Disney web site if you get a price on a reservation you will see a cross next to the price. Scroll down to the cross on the page and it states that the price does not include tax.

On the WDW web site the tax IS included in the price quote. The little cross by the price indicates:

† The price for this offer does not include air or ground transportation, vacation insurance or costs for any other available options.

Never once does it pertain to the tax not included.

If you look for a price under resort accomodations only the first page that comes up with a quote has the cross next to it. Scroll down and it says "Offered room rates DO NOT include tax or any costs for selected room options" When you continue on to book the offer the tax is included in an itemized list. If you look for a quote that includes a package the tax is included. It depends on what your looking for.
