Wel I am a few days into my 90 day window, and I have to say that using the online booking system I have managed to get everything so far I want, even including the LE CELLIER (which I did today and easly got a 6:30pm for Oct 22). I have managed to get OHANA, HOOP DE DOO, CHEF MICKEYS and CRYSTAL PALACE BREAKFAST all without a problem

But T-REX - thats another story. Whenever I have tried, its either a silly time slot, or mostly totally unnavailable!!!

So, I ask you, in terms of the toughest ADR's to get, has T-REX rised to the top of this elusive list?

I had trouble getting TRex reservations as well. There was just nothing open for dinner. What worked for me though, was doing it as a lunch. I ended up getting a 1pm lunch spot which I thought would work out well...we will eat there and then use that afternoon as our time around Downtown Disney.

So. If you really want to eat there, maybe try for lunch?

Our ds is 6 and though we've never been there, I'm sure he will love it!

Good luck!

call them directly....you may have some luck with that....

also when I called to make my ADR for July they were taking them 6 months in advance even though Disney already moved to 90...I am not sure if that is still the case but if it is that means people have been making ADR for three months before you.

I called directly about 85 days out and had no trouble getting a 6:30 spot for 6 people for Oct. 4th. :thumbsup2

I have been looking for T Rex dinner last week of August and having a tough time, but the lunches are abundant!!! Name your time and it's available. We usually choose one day where we go to Downtown Disney in the morning and end our shopping with lunch, so this works perfectly for us. If you're willing to be a tad flexible, it's an easy one to get.

Congrats on your other ressies!

Julie

T-Rex is NOT on the DDP is that right??? and it's at DTD? I'll have to look at pics of the restaurant & see if DS 4 wants to go!

I'm surprised by this. We were there during Easter Week and it was very busy. Not only were we able to get a lunch ADR at 1pm about a week in advance, we were also able to change it to a noon ADR when our plans changed. Most people were just walking up and waiting a short time (10-15 mins) to be seated.:confused3

If you call the restaurant directly, you'll be able to get it no problem, I'm sure. I just called the restaurant and asked for dinner Aug 28 and got it. they are not part of DDP and I'm sure only a certain amount of tables are blocked for the Disney system. This is how it is with Rainforest and Wolfgang Puck as well. Can't hurt to try!

Just made my ADRs today at 90 days out and knew there had to be some reason why there was nothing available for dinner at TRex; I will just call them directly!

Calling the restaurant directly is your best bet. I was able to get reservations by calling trex directly when I went through disney dine phone number they told me no availability

Before my 90 day window kicked in, and when I was practising with the oinline system (I didn't actually make any ADR's!) I was offered T-REX at various dinner times . It's just now this period Oct 17 - 31 that seems to have nothing. Not sure if this is just an indication that its going to be busy, busy these two weeks - but as said, got other ADR's at other usually tough places without any problems.

Call them directly (like others have posted lol).

I could not get any of my dates to show up online so I called them directly and was told I could have any time/days I had listed.

My DD can't wait even though we'll have to pay out of pocket I think this is one of dinners I'm most looking forward to.

I literally just hung up the phone with a lady from T-rex. I made dinner reservations for a party of 8 on 10/22. She asked what time and I said "whatever you have available." She said the whole day was available. I picked a 5:30 time slot. Definitely give them a call directly! It was so simple...easiest reservations I have made so far!

They only release a fraction of their tables to Disney dining ... most of them can only be booked by calling the restaurant directly (I think I read an interview with a manager/owner saying that they also hold back 25% for walk ups).

Or in short, it's more likely you'll get a spot by calling, although it never hurts to try Disney dining while you're making the rest of your reservations.

I am willing to bet that they always have more than 25% of the seats unreserved. TRex is a pretty easy walk up restaurant except at maybe the most peak times.

TRex is definitely not the new LeCellier. It's one of the easiest restaurants to get into actually.

The issue is that they release very few of their tables to Disney Dining, so if you try to book your reservation through Disney you will have an issue.

As many others have said, just call them directly and you'll have no issue getting in. They also have lots of room for walk-ups, and your wait should be no more than an hour even at the busiest times. :goodvibes

I want to go to dinner on 24th September at around 10pm would it be easy to do a walk up at that time?

If you are interested, you can make reservations for well over the 90 days in advance if you call and book directly. I already have a ressie for my stay in December.
