I'm looking for one more ressie and T-Rex has a surprising extensive menu and seems fun for my 3.5 year old son.
But I am concerned it might scare him.
We went into the scary room at be our guest and he freaked.. granted he was 2 years old at the time...

I've taken little ones numerous times & never had an issue but you know yours best. It is a bit loud but our kids loved it.

It's loud, but not scary unless your child is extremely easily scared.

Very loud at all times and even louder during meteor storm.
If the stormy in BOG was what scared him, then it might.

You know your child better than anyone else. Use your best judgement. It is loud. It may scare some children while it won't bother other children at all. If the stormy room at BOG scared him, than I would carefully consider things.

My son's been going since he was one (he's almost 4 now). It's his favorite restaurant. It's very subjective as to if your kid would be scared or not though. Have you been inside it? If not, find a video online of a walkthrough and you could maybe gauge if he'd be scared or not from that?

You could always ask to walk through to see if it scares him and cancel your reservation if it does. The bathrooms are toward the back.

This is a good idea. Make a reservation and then if you are in Disney Springs before the day of your T-Rex res, take a walk through and you can cancel it if you think that'd be best. My boys can be iffy with noise, but they both loved T-Rex. They were a bit older though - 5 and 7 the last time we ate there.

T-Rex is really cool, I can see why some kids might get scared. That was a great suggestion above about walking through first!

Not t-rex but kind of related. We took our 20 month old son to rainforest cafe and he was absolutely terrified of the animals and noises. We had to leave before getting a drink. On the same trip he ran into the arms of Mickey and loved every Disney character. No other experience including rides bothered him. Only RC.

3.5 years is a lot different. He will probably be fine but kids can be weird. You never know.
