Is Sunday A Good Day To Go To Magic Kingdom Over MLK Weekend?

I know that many of you are probably thinking I have a lot of time on my hands since I still have four months left before my trip. However, I need to make prioirty seatings next month, and I want to have somewhat of a plan.

Magic Kingdom is the EMH park on Sundays. We are going to be arriving on Saturday, and Sunday will be our first day in the park. I believe that the time we are going is slow except for the MLK weekend including Monday. Can anyone clarify for me? If that is true, would it be really stupid to try to do Magic Kingdom on that Sunday? Should we save it for later on in our trip? I'm not a fanatical planner, but I do want to take advantage of EMH. If I make priority seating reservations, I need to work around the EMH.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi - we'll be there with ya! Now, if Spectromagic is only running on Saturday night at MK (which is usually the case in the off season), a lot of folks will go there, and stay late. They may not want to get up early and go right back to MK. So you may be okay for Sunday EMH. We are going to Animal Kingdom on Sun.

It will be crowded (but not any where close to Spring break crowded!) Sun. and Mon., but then you will see a big drop beginning Tuesday. A great time to visit! Keep your fingers crossed for nice weather. Last time we went in Jan. we had excellent weather the whole week. Others have not been so lucky and report cold snaps!

Have fun!

Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping it clears out. I'm also hoping it's not swamped over Sunday and Monday. Is it usually?
