Penn State got a slap on wrist from NCAA and were allowed to go to a Bowl Game after one year.
There is even talk of resurrecting a statue of Joe Paterno.
The school is a disgrace and should not be promoted on the show.
Steve is seen wearing the hat on the INTRO.
I am more than happy to buy Steve a disney hat to wear in its place.

Just curious, by your logic wouldn't wearing Disney logos be promoting the racism of Song of the South? Or is that different?
