We are booked for a Western cruise Thanksgiving week of 2005. We spent the extra money for a cat. 4 because of the convience to deck 9. We are in room 8084, but are concerned about the overhead noise at Topsiders Buffet. Has anyone stayed in this room and had a problem? We will be traveling with a little one, who will probably still be napping or going to bed early. Also which side of the room are the beds up against?

Thank you for any information. We have enough time to switch rooms if we feel this is a noisy cat. 4 room!:wave2:

That was my room! We just got back. We were on the July 4th Wonder. I guess you are on the Magic, I think they are set up the same. I love that room. As a mater of fact, I'm going to rebook and request that room again. It is so close to everything. Go up one flight and you are right at the drink station and the Mickey Pool.

I have a 7 yr old and a 2 1/2 yr old and they slept like rocks. At night you will not hear any noise. But in the morning I could hear chairs moving around, but I think it was because I was already up. No one else in my family heard it. It was not enough to make me want to change rooms. You won't have hardly any hall noise. I think you will like it.

The beds are on the right side of the room as you walk in. So is the bathroom.

If you have any other question, just ask.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm hoping that both the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic are set up the same way. If anyone knows this for sure, or was in Room 8084 on the Magic please let me know how the noise level was. We were not sure if we wanted to spend the extra $1000.00 to go from a cat. 6 to a cat. 4 room, but like my DH said it is worth the little bit of extra space and we do have the murphy bed in case one of my children do not want to sleep on the top bunk.

Some people on this board were complaining about the noise above as a wake up call for the staterooms above the Topsiders Buffet, so we were worried about that. When you are on vacation you don't want to get up as if you were at home getting ready for work!!!

Thank you again for the information! All we can hope for is no seasickness since we are higher up!!!
