Is Spaceship Earth Closed?

I read that it was closed indefinitely... is this true? It said "Spaceship Earth Neighborhood" is this just the end of the ride or the whole thing?

i don't know what the "neighborhood" part is, but my sister just rode spaceship earth today w/ no problems!!

Space Ship Earth is still open. The neighborhood was the part at the end of the ride that was sponsored by AT&T. Since AT&T pulled their sponsorship, the neighborhood is no longer there. Don't worry, it doesn't effect the attraction at all!!

the "neighborhood" was a little thingy at the end of the ride that AT&T sponsored, I think you could make PS and such there. It hasn't been there in a long time, if I remember right.

but the ride is most def still open.

It was called the Global Neighborhood and had several interactive things you could go after you got off the Spaceship Earth ride. It is now just a big empty room you walk through to exit to other attractions. Years ago before they had PS on the phone you could go there and make a PS for the same day using interactive tv screen/phones if you were not staying on site..but that was years and years ago. People used to have a "marathon for PS" getting to those phones first thing in the morning....

I love Spaceship Earth, I hope it never goes away..though I know it is scheduled for a major rehab sometime in the future...

no i dont know what the neighboorhood is but its not spaceship earth itself that is very much still open. to be honest cant imagine it will ever close indefinaetly as epcot would not be epcot without it
