Is Soarin Closed?

I read that Soarin would be closed from early 2015 until 2016. I was there in March and it was open so I'm just wondering what the current status is?

It looks open to me.

I'm guessing that report is about the current construction to add a 3rd theater, but the orginal 2 are still open.

I just read that it's being refurbished so I wasn't sure what that meant. I'm so relieved. It wouldn't feel like Epcot without a trip to Soarin!

Well, they are adding a third theater to the attraction but as far as I've heard this will not result in any extended closings.

All three theaters will (eventually) offer the new Soarin' show, currently being produced.

Nobody knows WHEN the new show will begin running, however.

It is open and not noted for refurbishment at this time. The only things noted are the re imagination of Maelstrom until April 2016 and
Living with the Land in from September 8-17th

Wow, thanks for the info! We rode Soarin' for the first time last summer (I know, I know, shame on us with all the times we have been to Disney, but we are ride wimps ) It was so amazing that it was one of my top 5 fast pass picks for this upcoming trip. I thought the current show was unbelievable and thrilling, I can only imagine what they are working on now!
