Is She Ready To Be A Princess? Completed 10/12

Awww, such cute pictures! Your daughter is adorable.

Maybe I missed it, but what happened to the bottled water that the other family took? I was be a little irritated, lol.

And a little random, but I'm an esq. too :thumbsup2

On Saturday morning we were up early to finish packing. We called bell services and they sent a very nice guy with a golf cart to help us get our luggage back to the main building. He told us that the Alligator Bayou buildings don't have elevators so he has to carry the luggage up and down the stairs -- oh my! So he got us all loaded up and as we left the room we reminded DD to grab Violet, her favorite little stuffed dog. We all piled into the golf cart with our luggage, DH in the front with the driver and me with DD in the back.

Though we were sad to be leaving it was a pretty little drive through the resort. Then just as we got on the main road DD yelled out "Oh no, Violet FAAAALLLLLED!!!!!"

Well, the very nice guy from bell services back tracked until we spotted it on the side of the main road, then got out and rescued Violet. Needless to say, he got a very good tip.

We left our luggage with luggage services. In case anyone doesn't know, you check in your luggage there and don't see it again until your plane lands. Then we left our carry ons with bell services, and went to wait for a bus to Downtown Disney.

It took a while for a bus to come. Our first stop in Downtown Disney was the Christmas Store. Again, I was disappointed by the selection. It wasn't much different from what they had in the store in the Magic Kingdom and I just felt the quality was not the same as it had been on previous trips. I did buy a few ornaments and a Halloween pin.

After that we went to Goofy's Candy Company to create our own treats. DD and I really enjoyed this. I had a gingerbread cookie topped with white chocolate and chocolate chips. She had a marshmallow with white chocolate and sprinkles.

We went in Once Upon a Toy and I sneakily bought a Pirate costume for Duffy that I will give to DD on Halloween. She enjoyed playing in there. We had lunch with our last QS credits at Wolfgang Puck Express. We really enjoyed eating there. You go through the line and order, and then you sit down and they bring you your food, and even come around offering drink refills while you eat. I don't remember what everyone had, but I know I had a very good pizza, I think with goat cheese. I think DD had chicken fingers. I remember the iced tea was delicious, and I think we had ice cream for dessert. We had plenty of fresh good delicious food and we will definitely go here again.

After lunch DD finally got to ride a carousel, since the one in MK was closed!

I had just enough time for a quick trip to the store with all the picture frames and bought one. Then it was time to catch the boat back to POR. We really enjoyed our morning in DTD and I wish we had more time to spend there since we only made it to a few stores and never even got to go in World of Disney! I would also LOVE to go there when it was not so hot out. We really baked waiting on the pier for the boat too.

In case you've been wondering, this is the notorious Violet.

The boat ride was pleasant although DH complained of being hot. I liked seeing the French Quarter as I think this might be on our list of possible resorts for our next stay.

We filled our mugs one last time, turned in our rental stroller, picked up our carry on bags, made a quick stop in the gift shop for a few things I'd had my eye on, took DD to potty and then before we knew it the Magical Express was there.

We were the first ones on the bus I think, but then we had to stop at French Quarter, Saratoga Springs and somewhere else I think. It took a while to get headed to the airport. DD enjoyed the cartoons they played, and we ate some of the other snacks we had picked up at Goofy's Candy Company. I really wished there were cupholders on the bus because I had trouble juggling our mugs while keeping DD entertained with snacks. We also noticed that unlike the Magic Express bus we had on the way to the resort, on the way back to the airport there were no seatbelts. We joked that Disney didn't care if we died AFTER we spent all our money there. (Sadly, it was only a week later that a Magic Express bus was involved in a fatal accident). I really do think that seatbelts should be offered. They can't be that expensive.

At the airport DD patiently waited and read her Little Golden Books.

Mom's Memo: This time around we had a later boarding position (sorry I can't remember which) and I was a little nervous. Luckily however Southwest boarded families with children 4 and under after the first group so we had no problem getting seats together.

The flight was uneventful and DD slept again for a while. Our luggage showed up when we went to claim it, we found our car right where we left it and we were home just in time to get DD to bed.

I took a few pictures of our souvenirs to share with those of you who are interested in that kind of thing. ;)

Here are our refillable mugs, popcorn container, some awesome pens and the mug I bought, the light up spinner and the Halloween pin.

Christmas ornaments: Mary Poppins (that one I'd never seen before!), Jessie and Bullseye, Stitch and a 2013 photo frame:

Duffy storybook and his soon to be Halloween costume

Picture frames. The princess one I put in DD's room for her, and I have the 5X7 version of the Mickey head one so adding this 4X6 made a nice set.

Well that's it folks, thanks for following along!!!

:rotfl2: The last picture with Naveen is so funny!!!

What a great evening at the MK. *sigh* It's so hard to leave......

It is funny isn't it? lol

Looks like a wonderful last evening! I cried when we left! It was really sad to go.

Love the pics with Tiana and Naveen. Its funny that so many little girls are leery of him.

Great update!

I didn't expect her to be that way, it surprised me but not him!

Apparently the other family kept it. Kingdom dropped off another case for us, but we didn't have a chance to pick it up until Tuesday evening. So really we missed out on two days of using it, and as a result had a lot left over that we just left in our room. I'm not sure we got our $9 out of it to be honest.

Great pics! :)

Thanks.

Awww.....it's over? :sad2: shopping and hanging out in DTD seems like a great way to end the trip though. I love it there! And thank goodness violet wasn't lost! If we lost our daughter's Bearbear she'd probably have to be sedated! ;) we really should have a secret back up bear, in case of emergency! I'm glad it was an uneventful return trip! Seems like a great Disney visit and lots of wonderful memories!

Also, for some reason DD thought that a good topic of conversation was to hold up Violet to the princesses and tell them "I brought Violet!" like they cared. :rotfl2:To their credit, Snow White and I think Aurora connected this to having "forest friends."

Ha ha, I love this! I am a preschool teacher and the number of off-the-wall remarks I hear in a day is just overwhelming. Your daughter is absolutely adorable, sounds like you had a great trip!

Loving your trip report. Just found it, so I have some reading to do to catch up.

Your daughter is adorable! We did the same thing - our daughter was three weeks shy of her third birthday when we visited four years ago. What a perfect age to take them!

Looking forward to reading more. :cool1:

Yes we went again in 2014 but I never got around to doing a trip report! We had an even better time the following year. She was really into the characters and we got her an autograph book and even though she couldn't read she could tell which autograph belonged to which character.
