Is Shaggy and Scooby Doo still there at Universal Studios?

I have not been to Universal Orlando in 8 years and I am planning to visit during my 2 week Disney Vacation in August but I mainly want to know is Shaggy and Scooby still out there? These are my favorite characters of all time, topping all Disney characters. Honestly I never met them when I was there and only saw them in the parade and I always wanted to meet them so badly and now that I have a chance to it'll break my heart into a million pieces to know they are no longer doing greet and meets. By the way is it cool that I hug Shaggy or I am even allowed to or will he let me?, I mean I know it sounds weird and all but I can't help it that I am going to meet my childhood idols even though I still watch Scooby Doo to this very day.

Yes we met them yesterday and Shaggy talks a lot!

We met the whole gang in 2015. It was the first time we had seen them all together like that in a meet. We were just leaving the park so we're just lucky. And we were practically the only ones there for a good 5 minutes so it was fantastic. Got loads of pictures. Some are in the 2015 trip report linked below.

Like you Scooby Doo was my favourite childhood cartoon and I am still like a 5 year old when I see them.......and of course you can hug them.......I got a hug from all of them......

They sure are! My husband and I met them a few weeks ago. Shaggy poked fun at my husbands "gnarly beard". We loved them!

From last month.....

We saw them multiple times, both as a pair and together with the whole gang. Such fun interaction!! Scooby and Shaggy are the BEST!

Scooby was also at the Kitchen at the Hard Rock over dinner....

Scooby & shaggy make the character rounds @ the various resort restaurants. Information as to dates/times on the Universal website. Note that specific characters not guaranteed. We've seen that pair, plus Gru/minion & Homer the last few trips.

The gang (no Scooby) was doing a seemingly random meet and greet outside the Brown Derby store on Friday afternoon. I even got dissed by Shaggy. As they drove off I said, "We would have got away with it, if it wasn't for those dang kids." Shaggy called back, "It's MEDDLING kids. If you're going to insult us, at least get it right." My daughter loved that!
