Hi we are planning our first ever extended disney stay in sept. Arriving Sept 5 staying at the asmo using the ftp. I have heard that check-ins are long, waits are long, bus lines long?? Did I pick a good time for the crowds being less? I am so excited abou this trip, I cant wait. Ds will be almost 4 and he talks about it daily.

Thanks:smooth:

Welcome to the DIS acbmom, I'm so glad you found us. I sure hope you can visit often, planning a trip on the DIS is a lot of fun.

I've never experienced WDW in early September. I was there on 9/12/02 and then again 9/21 thru 9/26 and the crowds were basically nonexistent. There wasn't even a line for Dumbo, so, of course, I had to ride that one :teeth:

I'm sure that several of our veterans can offer you advice and information about touring right after labor day.

From what I can remember, the crowds are very light. I think since school has just started, most people are quite busy - therefore, many families don't plan to go at this time. We have been several times in early September, and it was delightful! Have fun :)

We have been going the first two weeks in September for the last three years, and yes, it's not crowded at all. Since9/11, it's been even quieter. The park hours are shorter and you can only catch Spectro and Fantasy in the Sky fireworks occasionally, but, other than that, it's a great time to go. Now that EE is back, it's so easy to do a lot in one day. It is expected to be a little busier this year due to people taking advantage of the FTP, but not too bad. It's so early in the school year, folks don't like taking kids out that early. We are also going on the 5th because it is the weekend after Labor Day, and the crowds will have gone. There are two of us, and we never get PS's for anything. We don't like to eat breakfast out (not into character's), but have no problem getting seats for lunch or dinner with no wait at all.

Hope you have a great time and enjoy the World uncrowded.

Thanks for your replies!!!
