Is Sci-Fi too scary for very young children?

DH and I went to Sci-Fi before children- so it has been awhile and I don't remember how scary the movies might be for them. I realize that they are meant to be funny and are a bit cheezy. I have DD6 and DS2. Just looking for specific scenes you might remember to give me an idea.

We have gone several times and it never frightened my kids when they were little like yours are now.

I had been reluctant to take my DS to SciFi, I thought he'd be scared since he tends to be on the timid side. But he loves SciFi, it's probably his favorite restaurant at WDW. I definitely recommend it.

First time we took DS#2 he was 5 and fine but he's not afraid of ANYTHING. you have to know your kids. I think a lot of kids get afraid because its so dark more than anything?

We're not talking scenes from "Alien" or "Predator"......it's themed like a 50's drive in theater. The clips are from those silly old movies with giant robots and flying saucers. I can't imagine they'd scare any kids, except those that are extremely sensitive.

Most of the characters are way scarier.

The movies are those old cheesy ones. My kids loved the drive-in cars better than watching the movies. They laughed at the movies.

My kids are 3 and 5...no one was scared. OK, to be honest DH and I were when we tasted the food...not good! (but it was for dinner and lunch seems to get better reviews).

Yeah, I would go for lunch. We only make ADR for lunch.

At 2 my DS would have been afraid of the darkness in there. He wouldn't ride Pirates of the Caribbean or It's a Small World at that age either. If your kids are okay with dark rides, they should be fine. We didn't think the movies were scary at all. It's a fun place to eat. We thought the burgers were great!
