Is San Angel Inn any good?

The only thing, it is so pretty in there. Everyone should go once. It's not horrible. We have lived in Colorado and I know what good Mexican food is, but I never really went for the food. It's like having dinner in the middle of a WDW ride (literally) and that is so cool! :)

My suggestion is to take your hard earned dining $$$ elsewhere and buy a Margarita on the tour to get a fill for the atmosphere. We've eaten there many times in the past several years, but no more.

We really like San Angel Inn, love the atmosphere. Took my Mom, sister and my niece on our last trip this past Novemberand they loved it! :thumbsup2

We went in Oct 06 and thought the food was really good. The service was good also. I'm not sure if we thought the food was really good because we were starving, we would go there again.

Love the atmosphere-don't love the food, but that's just me. Just review the menu first to be sure you like the offerings.

we love the atmopshere and stick to lunch here. The menu seems to be more "mainstream" mexican food than at dinner (plus if I am not really hungry I can eat light and enjoy a cocktail and the view and know that I have dinner later to "eat")

The atmosphere at the San Angel is what wins the day from our family. However, the food was no better than we get at some inexpensive Mexican restaurants at home. We prefer to eat at the Cantina--more bang for your buck if you order a combination plate--especially if on the DDP. The combo is more food than any of us can eat, and what could be better than dining by the lagoon?

Even if you're not a fan of the food, it's totally worth eating at San Angel Inn for the atmosphere alone. Personally, I like the food. Who cares if it's not authentic - it's not really Mexico!

Bagged chips , jar salsa, cold hot entrees and not a drink refill to be found. It is by far the biggest disappointment at WDW.

This is what I was going to say. We've eaten there three times (the last two times just because the people I was with those trips couldn't believe the food could possibly be that bad). All three times we've left our food uneaten and went somewhere else to grab a bite. I live in east Texas and we have both TexMex here, as well as authentic Mexican food. and yes they are different! I also work with some Mexican people and have eaten stuff they've brought to work many times. San Angel Inn is neither. Our service there has always been horrible, twice the food was cold, they sell the tostito chips and jar salsa out in the market place, and forget about getting refills on drinks.
