I'm considering staying at RPR for the benefits of NoWait, but if it's slow season, (mid-September), are there even any lines to worry about?
I think got a pretty good rate through AAA~$151.20, Standard, plus I have the Loews Membership for a possible upgrade, but it seems sooo expensive compared to the other places I was considering, (Sheraton Studio City, The Castle.)
Those of you who have been there, Is It Worth It?

<Script language='Javascript'>var rndNum = Math.floor(Math.random() * 10000);eval("var CDTDate" + rndNum + " = 'September 9, 2004 7:00:00 AM CST';");document.writeln("<form name='CDTform" + rndNum + "' action='Javascript:void(0);'>");document.writeln('<font size=2 color=black> :earsboy: Happy Orlandoversary to us! :earsgirl:</font><br>');document.writeln("<input type=text value='' size=40 name='WrittenByJamesMVenglarikII'>");document.writeln("</form>");if (theFunction) theFunction += "var d = new Date();";else var theFunction = "var d = new Date();";theFunction += "var c = new Date('" + eval("CDTDate" + rndNum) + "');";theFunction += "var diff = (c - d)/1000;";theFunction += "var days = Math.floor(diff / 86400);";theFunction += "var rem = diff - (days * 86400);";theFunction += "var hours = Math.floor(rem / 3600);";theFunction += "rem = rem - (hours * 3600);";theFunction += "var minutes = Math.floor(rem / 60);";theFunction += "rem = rem - (minutes * 60);";theFunction += "var seconds = Math.floor(rem);";theFunction += "if ((days < 0) | (hours < 0) | (minutes < 0) | (seconds < 0)) ";theFunction += "var out = 'We\\\'re finally there!!!';";theFunction += "else ";theFunction += "var out = ' ' + days + ' days ' + hours + ' hrs. For $150 a night I'd say it's well worth staying. It's a beautiful hotel and while the crowds might not be that bad, you can't beat front o' the line.

The resort itself is beautiful also the ease of acess to the parks and city walk is great we really enjoyed it and thought the resort was worth the money fotl is just the cherry topping :jester:

We went in the slow season (October) last year and it was well worth it. It cut down on line time and was worth it just for convenience of walking. All this, not to mention the fact its a great hotel.

I justify the price of the room--staying onsite--divided by the number of people in room--and I figure that is what it costs per person to take advantage of FOTL. You will not be sorry!

RPR is a lovely resort, a true deluxe in every way. It's nice to be able to enjoy the pools at all three resorts plus the location is very handy. FOL is nice too, even during quiet periods. I would go for it!

Are you flying or driving? If you won't have a car, you'll save the US daily parking fee. RPR parking is $6 per day. Other than that, nothing beats staying right onsite at the end of a long day....or a mid-day break for pool, naps, etc. Just a quick boatride, or walk and you're back in another world. BTW, not many people use it (we did) but there's a shuttle bus just to the left of US as you leave the park. Nice chance to see the other 2 hotels from it, PLUS AC/soft seats all the way back to your resort :) I'd definitely go with the onsite hotel. It's worth it just to feel part of everything!

It really is convenient and at least its cheaper when you go during offseason! Remember, they actually encourage pool hopping so even though you are staying at the RPR hotel, you can pop over to HRH after 1/2 day of US to take in their pool and atmosphere. Flash your hotel key and they will give you a wristband and some towels. We plan on having lunch there so the boys can use the poolslide and then boat back to RPR for naps. The nicest part about staying onsite is how leisurely you can do it and accomplish so much. And without planning your "route" and fastpass techniques or calling ahead for PS --- with a hotel key there is no need to have a plan of attack. With little kids we've always just done half days and got all we needed during those times (everyone else riding coasters and things little kids couldn't) and called it a day (staying offsite). I'm excited about our onsite stay so that we'll be able to head back to US in the afternoon/evening --- boys might like Ghostbusters and Monsters Revue and even StreetBreaks but in our many trips we haven't gotten those in yet. Last thing, onsite allows you to enjoy the happy hours, etc w/o worrying about driving home ........

We're staying at RPR soon and I've been there before and I've never done that, I didn't know it was encouraged! Thanks for the info. I wanted the group to see HRH while we stayed at RPR but now I know we can also use the pool, its wonderful! The kids will love the slide, so will the big kids! Thanks for the info.

just remember to have your room key with u for pool hopping so u can get towels at the pool or u may consider hiring a cabana

Yep, you ALWAYS want that handy hotel key with you! You may want to look at a map of HRH. The first time I walked from US I took the LONG path down by the river. By the time I got to the front, had to walk all the way to the back b/c thats where the pool is. So, when leaving US, go hard left if you want to go right to the pool. You'll see a circular drive where shuttle busses go and a tall iron gate where you let yourself in. You are right at the pool area that way. We plan on eating burgers/sandwiches poolside (Beach club?) and I think the kids will be thrilled they can swim instead of sit in a restuarant. If it rains we'll just hit HR Cafe which I think they'd find entertaining too. Good luck!
