Is River Country Dead?

I saw from my latest visit to WDW River Country is closed and even it's name is removed from every purple road sign. Is River Country Dead and gone?

Yes, the official "death notice" came out earlier this year right before the purple signs were removed. There have been no "official" reasons given, so right now you will hear a lot of conjecture.
