Is river country closed for good?

I was reading on another board it was closed indefinately. Just wondering if this was true. We had hoped to try it on our next trip!

It's been totally shut down for a while now. No word when/if it will ever reopen or what they'll do with the space.

When I made our reservations for FW in May 2003, about a month ago, just for the heck of it I asked the CM about the fate of River Country. She said she would check for me. When she came back on the line she said it is being renovated and that "new and exciting things" were being added. She did not have any specifics about what the things were or a reopening date, but mentioned that it should be "next year". We joked that it might be in May when we visit and she agreed "that would be nice".

Any recent returnees notice any activity at RC?
