Is resort hopping allowed for viewing Christmas decor

Leaving next weekend for 5 days at the Dis. I have read that people are not allowed into resorts unless they have a meal ressie, or are staying at the resort. We always like to hop and view decorations. Any idea if this is being allowed??

When arriving on foot or any form of Disney transportation, there are no restrictions whatsoever with visiting any resort.

Arriving via vehicle is where the challenge comes in. Experiences vary but generally speaking gatehouse guards will only let in resort guests and those with an ADR or mobile order reservation.

Just remember the Poly station is closed (in case you don't know!).

We monorail resort hopped the other day. Started at CR, got off at TTC and walked to Poly, then walked to GF, then walked to CR via the new path (although most will probably want to monorail from GF in case you really just want to try the new path and have a long walk!).

How long did the walk take? I'm interested in doing it next week but it is supposed to be cold and rainy.

From the start of the GF walkway to the MK security station was around 13 minutes for us, with some stops to check out the bridge and take pics along the way. Plus however long the walk from MK to CR takes, so another 10-12 or so mins. Obviously exact time will depend on where you're counting the starting/stopping points.
