I'm thinking of getting an ADR here for the night we want to see La Nouba. How's the food? What about the amotsphere? TIA! :goodvibes

We ate there in January and did not enjoy it. :sad2: They put us seated between 2 tables... about a foot away from us... if that. A little too close for comfort... there was no such thing as a private conversation. The food wasn't as good as we expected. The atmosphere was nice, but that was about it. I believe they have a band that plays on some nights... That would have been nice to see.

I've been my last two trips, and it is now a "must do" every time! My first trip we sat in a side room and left just before the entertainment started (DD wanted to get to PI :confused3 ). We loved the decor and the food was excellent.

Last trip DD & I arrived at 7:30 and sat in the main room next to the stage. We had more great food (different choices as well) and stayed for 3 hours enjoying the great band and the lovely Irish dancer.

I can't wait to take DH next time!!

A must do for us every trip since it opened.

Ate there April 5th with two very picky sisters and loved it. I had the Shepard's pie and the sauce on it was lick-the-plate good. The Bangers appetizer (little breaded sausages on forks with a mustard sauce on the side) was a favorite of the teenagers at the table. My oldest sister had some sort of dry barbequed ribs and she cleaned her plate.

The bread and butter pudding is one of the best desserts I have had anywhere, and that includes bread puddings I've had in New Orleans. It comes with two little pitchers with a cream and a butterscotch sauce.

When I return to Orlando, I intend to return to Raglan Road, and I don't usually repeat restaurants at Disney. It would be a great choice for your dinner.

P.S. There is a good picture of the bread pudding over on tripadvisor. And if you have any trouble getting a ADR, you can make a reservation directly through their website-that's what we did.

We loved Raglan Road. We had great food, excellent service and we loved the atmosphere.
I made an 8:45 ADR so we could enjoy the band and dancer. The entertainment begins at 9:00. We were seated right at the stage and I was afraid it would be too noisy. It was not, it was great.
We ate our dinner and then lingered over dessert and enjoyed the entertainment. Our server was very attentive and would notice if we needed a beverage refill.
I would heartily reccommend it.
Enjoy

We had dinner their in August last year, we had terrible service and the food was nothing special. I read a lot of rave reviews on the boards but I just didn't think that the food lived up to the hype.

We had a terrific time at Raglan Road. Great service, excellent food, fun atmosphere. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know what time the music starts? DH and I almost ate there last month, but it was later and they were only seating inside. We thought the music was a little too loud and decided to eat elsewhere. We are going back in August and I would still like to try it, maybe before the entertainment starts.

We ate there last week. The food was good, and the serving sizes were more than generous. Our ADR was for 9:00 p.m. because I thought we would enjoy the band. It was a great band and the Irish dancer was terrific. However, it was very, very loud. Also, we were very, very tired. Before the check even came DH and DS7 and DD10 had left the restaurant and were gone to Disney Quest. DS12 was tired and grumpy, and I didn't enjoy the dessert I ordered. I wish I had gotten the Bread Pudding instead of the "Kiss." All in all, most of my objections have to do with family circumstances not the restaurant. I think I would go back, but I would make an ADR for 8:00 or even 7:30 so that we could eat before the band gets started and stay as long as we were still having fun. Also, maybe this would be a good thing to do on your first night if you plan to stay for the entertainment.

We went last Thursday & really enjoyed it. Having read the entertainment started at 9:00, we had an 8:30 ADR & requested the main dining room. We were seated right in front of the stage. We thought it might get too loud, but it wasn't a problem at all. My guess would be later in the evening, when the full band kicks in with drums and so on, it could get pretty noisy. The two of us split the drunk chicken appetizer, soup of the day (potato), & the fish & chips. All of it was really good. Had a great time & will be back!

I hate on Raglan Road every opportunity I get. I detest that place. Granted, I've not been there in the evening when they have a bunch of Irish flavored entertainment to distract you from the rest of the experience, so maybe it's better at night... all I know is the food was mediocre and the service terrible when I've been there for lunch and I'm not ever going back.

We ate there for the first time last May. Had 8:30 ressies because we too wanted to see the band. The fish and chips were fabulous, the band was fun and we enjoyed it enough to rebook it as our very first aDR for our upcoming August trip. One con was the service was so slow because the restaurant was very packed and the tables are so close together I think the wait staff has a hard time navigating the restuarant. By the end of the night, it was so bad that after we had waited more than half an hour for our bread pudding that never came, we just cancelled it and left. We're going to go earlier this year so we can hopefully try the bread pudding.

We've eaten there twice. The first time we enjoyed the food, the entertainment and the service. The second time we were seated at one of those tables for two, which is really a table of 20 something because, as one of the PP's said, there is no privacy at all...you can practically taste your neighbor's food. And the menu was cut back pretty extensively the second time along with the service being nearly non-existent. Entertainment was still good.

We'll give it one more try and then decide whether to cross it off the list or not.

As for it being family friendly...well, it is so wrong for a Pub to be adult oriented? We are adult children and make our ADR's for later in the evening to allow families the earlier slots. But we can't help but wonder why parents drag their children out to eat in a noisy, crowded bar at 9 or 10 p.m. and have them either act out or fall asleep in their food. And please don't flame me...we witness this every single time we have a late dining reservation. At one restaurant a child of about 8-9 actually fell off of his chair onto the floor, hit his head rather hard and his father read him the riot act and jerked him back in his seat.

Can't wait to try it! We will be going in July. I just have to have the Bread Pudding!
