Is PS really necessary for Trail's End Lunch?

We've eaten lunch at Trail's End the last 2 times (May 04 and Oct 04) that we visited WDW. Both times were on a weekday around 1. One time we were the only people in the restaurant and the other there were only a couple of other people. Has it changed or is it just certain times that it's necessary. :confused3

Thanks for your comments.

We always make PS's for where we plan on eating, no matter if it's a slow or busy time. My feeling is I'd rather have a PS and not need it, than not have a PS and need it.

We've eaten lunch and dinner here, and have never made PS's. Usually it's a spur of the moment, hungry-after-the-pony-ride meal. :)

I was wondering about this also. I usually have all PS made at 90 days but this time I haven't been able to figure out what I want to do. It will only be DD10 and I so I think we will be more open to where we will be and when we will get hungry. I know we want to go there for lunch but I have no idea what day. I am planning at this time to just call that morning if we make up our minds ahead of time. (Most of our meals are going to be Counter Service anyway) :earsgirl:
