Just found out that my request for close was granted, but when I called to today to fix something( they had my sister flying out on TURKISH AIRLINES not Ted/United. And she had no plans to visit Turkey.)

I checked all my requests, and found out they should have charged me for surfs up and canceled it.. So it would be around $65 to add it and stay there. My question is it worth it?

It will be only my sister and I this trip. We don't care about view, just want to be close to food court and bus stop. But if there is a building just as close then I don't want to pay more. Does this make sense?? Help!

I wouldn't pay extra for a preferred room at any of the value resorts, use the extra money on a nice meal or souvenir.

We try not to stay in the preferred areas at the value resorts. We don't feel that any of the rooms are too far from the food court and pools. The rooms that are near the main pool have a tendancy to be noisy from the pool as well. We are able to walk around with our young kids without any problems.

If you are not traveling with little ones I wouldn't pay extra for the preferred room. Some of the rooms that are not preferred are really no further than the preferred buildings. We stayed in "Hoops" recently and while we were around the back of the building and on the 3rd floor (which was fine with us, nice and quiet!), some of the first floor rooms in the front of the building didn't seem any further from Stadium Hall than Surfs Up (preferred).
