Is Port orleans French Quarter pool crowded?

My family is staying at POFQ during the first week of June, and I read somewhere that the pool there is always packed because there are no other quiet pools nearby. Do any of you know if this is true? We were hoping for a more quiet resort here than some of the other Disney resorts.

Its been quite a few years since we've been to POFQ and went in May and while it wasn't overpacked, it was busy. Great resort though and DD loved the pool.

We were there a busy spring break week in late March. The pool itself wasn't crowded but in the afternoon chairs were scarce due to the chair saving. Which was annoying.

One of our stays was while the pool was being refurbed. Other stay was in mid-May, pool was always busy but not crowded to the point of being uncomfortable or unable to move We went mid-day or early evening & had no trouble finding chairs.

OP you are also allowed to use the any of the pools at POR. We gone over for a change of scenery during our trips

The pool was not what I would call crowded when we have stayed not like the other resort pools, busy but not crowded. The one good thing is if it were crowded or you just want a different pool, take the 5 min boat ride up to POR and you can use all of the pools there, pool hopping is allowed between these two hotels and when we stay at either we do pool hop, because we like a variety, and we are there two weeks usually. So we go to POFQ a few times, then hop the boat one day and try out ol man at POR, then we try to go to a quiet pool for a day and then hop back to POFQ. So if you are looking for a quiet pool, I suggest the one over by 18 in the bayou, that would be the quietest. Then the one in the mansion may be quiet also.

We've stayed there many time and would have never said the pool was over crowded. Hot afternoons - yes there is a crowd, but nothing too crazy to keep us away.

When we went at the end of August the pool was never crowded or busy. We would mostly go around 1/2pm.

We were there late June 2009 and the pool was packed all the time! It was very hot/humid at that time so I'm sure that kept a lot of people in the pool!

I was just there May 2-8 and like everyone else say the pool was busy but definitely not crowded. My family loved the pool. Hope you have a magical trip!
