DMRick said:By any chance did your hubby move up to smoke in front of our room, so the smoke wouldn't go into your room? (except in May we were at POR, not POP).
We had a guy smoking by our room (and it was sucked right in)..he said it was so his son with asthma didn't have to smell the smoke. Well, gosh, I got a non smoking room, so my asthma wouldn't be bothered. I just thought this was funny, because that is just what the guy said.![]()
I really wish that they would have a non smoking building, and those that smoking either stay in the smoking area, or move away from the non smoking building.
I so much agree with this! It seems everywhere I go, mall, Target whatever I have to walk through a thick haze of smoke as people congregate outside to smoke. I know at ASMO we had this problem the first couple of nights as the guy next door would smoke near our room and the smoke would drift in. This can happen at any resort. I also had a problem with smoke at the pool at POR which is an okay place to smoke rule wise but not much fun for those of us who don't smoke. I think the smoking areas and buildings need to be separate. I know I have a cousin who has serious asthma and even short term exposure to smoke can set off an attack. Plus I think smokers should be able to smoke somewhere where they don't get dirty looks and don't have people get up and move away when they light up (which is what I do). That must get old for them too.
