With all the news of free upgrades, and my being unable to upgrade to a Preferred including free dining, I'm nervous that it's going to be crazy busy.

Are lines for buses going to be crazy? Will the parks be out of control? I chose September because I heard it was a slow time of year, and Pop because I heard they had the best bus service.

I can just see standing in line for a bus for an hour, covered in Love Bugs. I'm pretty easy going, and don't mind waiting for a bus or even two, but will it be worse then that?

Ill be there too at the same time so I hope not!

As for the love bugs they have their uses; most notably the fun you can have stomping them when your waiting for the buses:yay:

Doubtful...there not sold out even...

There may be pockets of rooms sold out with Free Dining, but otherwise, no.

I've been all times of the year to Disney/Florida and I can tell you after Labor day it's quiet.

I'll be there the same days... but at CBR. I'll have to remember the bug stomping game for the kiddies I'm going with! Only 96 days to go!

I'll be there from Sept. 3rd to the 10th, I picked that week for the same reasons you said and also staying at POP. Hope its not too bad.

Yes, I think it will be crowded because everyone is taking advantage of the free dining.

I didn't participate in it last August as I stay at the Swan and they don't participate in the free dining which is fine with me as I don't want that. We were there for 2 weeks. Our first week was great, very quiet and no lines. The second week was a mob scene. I asked a CM if there was a convention or something going on because the crowd size was so huge! I was told the free dining plan had just started that week.

So yes, I think it will be very crowded and rightfully so, who would pass up on a package like that?

We were there last Sept. 7th through the 16th and it was fine exept on the weekends. Hardly any lines anywhere it was wonderful. It was my first time back to WDW since a child and having the park almost to myself I felt awesome. The free dining oh my I put about 12lbs on from all food WOW!!

I also think September will be alot less crowded than August. We for one go in August because of school starting here in NJ right after Labor Day which I think holds true for alot of people so probably August in general is a crowded month but again, it was definitely more crowded when free dining started.

I'm thinking you are right. Everyone who is getting the free upgrade offer seems to be traveling in August through the first couple of days of September. We are going a full week after Labor day, so I think most schools will be back in session. I think it will be busy in the restaurants, but not too crazy in the parks.

We are doing POP this September but stayed at POR at the same time Sept 06. The crowds were blissfully quiet in the parks themselves, however every table service restaurant of worth was queing out the doors all day everyday so we gave up trying in the end.

We wondered why this was at the time as DDP and ADR's were a mystery on that trip but looking back it seems so obvious now!

This time around so long as we've all got at least most of our ADR's sorted im hoping that we should be in for a great time!popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

It is so hard to predict the crowd size at WDW year after year.

We go the same time every year in August because it's when we go so we're just happy to be there and will deal.

Statistically that week after Labor Day is one of the least busy of the year. We've gone that week the last 2 years (last year we were at Pop from the 10th to the 17th) and it was great!
The only waiting you will do is for a bus or two but it was never unbearable and we had 3 small children. Enjoy yourselves, the parks were not busy at all even with free dining!

I just got off the phone from WDW dining and she said that the dining is completely full they are filling up as fast as they get calls. So if you want a certain rest. you should make ressie ASAP.:goodvibes
