Is Poly worth it?

Nope the last time we stayed it rained non stop, the Poly is no good when it rains. The pool closes you get soaked trying to get drink refills or food. There is no hot tub (that bit in the pool does not count), the turtle jets were broke.
We now go to AKL and despite the distance have a much better holiday for less money.

Like all things, it depends on the situation!

I will also add that to me, the Poly is worth it in some instances for the ambiance, room size, location and the beach with the view of Wishes. But not for the transportation. For me, the monorail (now this is just me so nobody yell at me please) is the most overrated form of transporation at WDW. .

I feel exactly the opposite about the monorail. It is one of my favorite attractions at WDW. It ignites my imagination and I would pay any amount of money to stay on the line.

I enjoy riding it around the loop and love the ride over to Epcot. But not as my sole means of transportation to MK and Epcot. Again, just me, we all have different things that get our Disney blood flowing!

I also love the monorail at DL, the way it goes inside Disneyland itself is very cool.

(I wouldn't recommend the Poly slide for your 7 yr old)

Is the Poly slide big and scary or something? My 7 yr old is not a great swimmer, but will really want to try the slide and I'm sure my 5 yr old will want to too.

Thanks everyone for all the input! I really appreciate it!

Our then-6 year old was not a strong swimmer at all when we last went. He wanted to try the slide, so we went over to the marina and they gave us a life vest for him. He was able to go down the slide, with me waiting for him near the end. He loved it and did it over and over.

Deffinately worth it for our family. We have been hooked ever since the 1st stay. And we are also the type that spend quite a bit of down time at the resort itself....so for us it makes it even more worth the money to have not only the convience, but the beautiful surroundings of the resort itself. :)

It was a shoc to us as well. We decided to save and do it. Well............we were soooo glad we did.

DH said it was worth every penny to have monorail access.

I say to see Wishes away from the park at the beach and walking around the grounds with tiki torches lit is just beautiful.

DS says he loves to be right in the MK.

DS says the Mickey waffles are a must have, lol. He loves the slide at the Volcano pool.

DD loved the zero entry and seeing the castle change colors.

If you can do it, it is such a great vacation within a vacation.

Food options are great!
