We are coming to Walt Disney World in February. We have both had weight loss surgery and don't eat full meals. We, of course, would like to dine in a variety of WDW restaurants (not buffets).Does anyone know if the WDW restaurants allow plate sharing? We would be willing to pay a plate sharing fee if required.
Thanks, Bobbi

My DD14 and I did at a few places with no problems. Sometimes they even split the portions in the kitchen for us.

The only WDW restaurant that reportedly requires a plate sharing fee is Shula's at the Dolphin.

You will not be permitted to share at any buffets or all you can eat fixed price restaurants. There are reports, however, that those who have had weight loss surgery MAY be able to pay the child's buffet or AYCE price if they present a doctor's note.

We eat very little and usually share meals. We have never had an issue and as others have said, many restaurants will even split the meals before serving.

you can bascially do anything you want as long as you are willing to pay for it.

DH and I shared a few meals on our last trip and we had no problems. The servers were great about it and most even split the meals up in the kitchen for us. I just cannot eat a lot at one time, so it worked out great for us. We would get one appetizer, one entree, and sometimes a dessert.

We did make sure to leave a tip comparable to what it would have been had we both had entrees.
