We are going to wdw from April 26 - May 3 for DD's 4th annual trip. this year will be DS' first trip.

May 2nd is the Pirate and Princess Party from 7 to midnight. It is our last day in the park as we drive home the next day. DS is just a baby and DD is 6. So for the four of us to go it will be an extra 120 dollars. From what I can tell from the website it seems like not much more than character meet and greets but I'm not sure. Is it worth paying the extra 120 dollars? Seems like having to pay extra on top of regular park admission for more of the same stuff.

Epcot has extra magic hours that nigth too. Are we better off going over to Epcot for the extended hours?

If the Pirate and Pricess Party is something really special then we don't want to miss it. It sounds like a really cool idea and the "idea" of it sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I just didn't get a feel from the website that it was something more to pay for. The website makes it sound like a regular night at the park with rides open and character meet and greets. We get to meet the princesses any way without paying extra on other occasions. Plus with the young kids and it being our last night its not like we are going to stay until midnight either.

Anyone been to it and think its definitely worth it?? I want to go if it is.

We did it last year with an 11 year old and a 5 year old. We don't plan to do it again if it's available when we go in August. We liked the short ride lines and the kids had fun with the first few treasure spots, but they lost interest when it became clear that all the treasure spots had the same stuff. We had fun, but we can get relatively short ride lines during an EMH morning. I think you can get into MK with just your P&PP ticket after 4 p.m, so if you don't want to do any parks earlier in the day, you could get away with one day less on your park tickets.

I think Epcot will be busy with all the people who don't purchase P&PP tickets, so you may want to keep that in mind when planning last night activities.

We did it at the beginning of the month and my dd loved it most of the rides were walk on dd enjoyed going around getting the treasure and we had fun seeing the characters. She also loves doing the dance parties. The only photos I don't have right now are w/ princess minnie and daisy b/c they are on my photopass cd which I haven't received yet. The parade was great especially seeing Tink. We didn't get to see the fireworks b/c we were waiting to see captain jack.

Here is a link to another thread I just posted some of our pics.

we are not doing the P&PP but do they close down MK for P&PP goers...if so what time do we have to be out of the park by?

Yes they do close down the park to non party goers. When we were there they were the park pretty much closed at 6 and non party goers had to be out by 7
