going to return soon??:confused3 Skippy and Jiff just aren't doing it for me.:sad2:

There were coupons for it in this past Sunday's coupon section. But I wouldn't touch the stuff now.... BLECH!!! Dirty factory.

I love the Peter Pan honey roasted PB. I went to Wal Mart the other day and the ONLY option for PB was Jif. I just don't like it. :(

Peter Pan... come back!!!!

Try Smuckers. If you really want salty, try Smuckers Natural. :thumbsup2

I'm going to have to check that out. They do the job on toast, but sometimes I get a craving for just a spoonful and they just don't measure up.

I guess I've missed something here. Is Peter Pan saltier? I've had mostly Peter Pan and Jif at home and I've never noticed a difference.

I go around the house singing "I want my Peter Pan" to the tune of "I want my mtv."

Speaking of Peter Pan, I had two cans (toucans) of the offending batch number in my pantry - nearly empty but no dead kids. If there's none on the the shelves, how are people getting their replacement pb? I read something about returning the bad pb to the company, but I'm not paying $10 to get $5 worth of peanut butter.

I think Peter pan is actually a bit sweeter. A couple years ago all the peanut butters decided to be healthier and they reduced their sugar. I miss the old taste of Jiff.

I like the spreadableness of Peter Pan. Is that a word?

Anyway... it spreads nicely. My kids LOVE the sweetness of the honey roast kind.

My mom also had a nearly empty jar of the recalled batch that all 3 of my kids have eaten out of... no illness!

You only have to send the lid(s), not the entire jar: http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/pnutbuqa.html#refund
For a full refund consumers should mail the Peter Pan Peanut Butter or Great Value Peanut Butter product lid along with their name and mailing address to ConAgra Foods, P.O. Box 3768, Omaha, NE 68103. Questions or concerns about the recall are being received by ConAgra's 24-hour toll-free hotline at 866-344-6970

Out of desperation for peanut butter last week, I bought the PUBLIX creamy peanut butter with the red lid. I was surprised at how much my kids seemed to like it, so DH and I tried it on Ritz crackers and it was good. I might just continue to buy this until Peter Pan comes back out.

My kids don't like Jif or Skippy brands.

Try Smart Balance peanut butter, that way you are elimating the trans fats! It really is good, I don't miss "regular" peanut butter at all.

I forgot that I like the Publix kind. I used to buy fresh ground PB from Publix deli, but I haven't seen it there in a long time. It was REALLY good.

We are a peanut butterless house right now. The only kind DH and the kids will eat is the HONEY ROASTED Peter Pan.....I have yet to find any other brand that does the honey roasted. Until I can find this type, no peanut butter for us.
