Is one way to EE quicker than the other at rope drop?

I just read on another site that people were told before rope drop to go to EE through asia, but that when people go there from dinoland, its much quicker - anyone care to weigh in on this important :) issue?

thanks for the help!

From the looks of it on the guide map, the distances seem pretty equal. Maybe if less people go around past dinoland than go right over thru asia it makes it seem faster?

If you are heading to the attractions entrance or the Fast pass distribution the route trough Asia is the quickest.

uh, where else would you be headed...just kidding, i agree that through asia is the fastest.

Not on Sunday it wasn't!!

I took advice from another thread here and headed past DinoRama and what seemed like 500 people from the Asia section were being held up by CM's and me and a friend were able to get on the FIRST RIDE of the day!

So in my experience DinoRama is faster!!

Is it right above Dinoland on an old park map?
Since I'm clueless where this is can you give specific instructions on where to turn in Dinoland.

I had this trouble when the stunt show opened at MGM. I couldn't picture in my mind where it was.

seems like there are some differing opinions -anyone else have a take?

When we were there the end of March we went two mornings and tried it a different way each day. Our experience was that the standby line snakes out the left side of the entrance (away from Dinoland) so unless you are literally one of the first 20 people there, if you come from Dinoland you have to walk way past the entrance to find the end of the standby line (and swarms of people are coming from Asia, making it difficult to find the end of the line). We preferred coming along with the crowd through Asia . . . the wait was the amount of time it took to walk through the queue first thing in the morning, even if it did appear that a lot of people were in front of you (EE loads very quickly).

I would love to know too, as I am going this friday to AK first just to get to ride EE (I will be going on other rides too, but I am hitting AK first so that I can get on EE). I want to be there when AK opens, so I decided friday since it doesn't have an EMH in the morning. I can't wait to ride EE!!!!!!

Thats not a normal thing. They shouldn't have held anybody back.

What are your thoughts on heading to AK late afternoon / early evening, just to ride EE. Think there will still be long lines? I asked this on another thread too, as we only want to ride EE.

When AK first opened, the park was swamped in the am, then mostly empty by mid-late afternoon. I know EE will make a difference, but how much of a difference? Anyone have any experience doing that ~ arriving later in the day to ride EE?

TIA.

When we were there (a few weeks ago) EE was packed all day. However, they do open up a single rider's line, which can get you on fairly quickly even later in the day.

You go toward Dinoland and make an immediate left right before the entrance to it, take that past a bridge and straight to Everest.

It is across the water from where Tarzan Rocks used to play. Take the path toward that theatre and there is a new bridge across to Asia and EE.

This is also the quickest way to the EE restrooms.

Here is a screen shot from the new Yahoo Maps that may help people decide. EE was still under construction in this photo.

Ok folks, we are kind of split here. Some say Asia, some say Dinoland. I gotta know, I'll be there tomorrow morning! Looking at the aerial shot, it seems as though Dinoland is shorter. This ride might be the highlight of the weekend for me, and I would much rather enjoy it sooner than later. So, can we get a few more opinions. Thank you sooo much, I can't wait till tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is EE open during the Night Time EMHs? And if so, will they reopen the fast pass machines (I am sure by the time we get to MK all the regular fast passes will be gone).
Thanks!

I hope you get some good advice here, but will you post your experience when you return? I'm anxious for the same info for our May trip.

Thanks and have fun!
