Is Ohana breakfast a must do for a first timer?

I have an Ohana breakfast adr but it is kind of ruining our day's schedule. I was wondering if it is a must do for the first time? I'm not overly impressed with the menu since there's only 5 things on it but wondering if the character interaction makes it super worth it?

I'm curious about this also. Everyone keeps saying how great it is, so we have a reservation. Just wondering if its worth leaving the park for.

its a buffet style meal waffles eggs and sausage. an breakfast breads. you get to meet Lilo an stitch (characters as always are subject to change without notice)

it looks nice but its a breakfast in my opinion if your a stitch fan id say its worth it

also remember breakfast is the only character meal they offer any afternoon or dinner will not feature any characters

The juice and bread is good, but all the other food items can be found on most QS breakfast menus...(AKA The Bounty Platter) The only reason to go is if you love Lilo and Stitch.

'Ohana breakfast is served family style rather than buffet. We ate there last November for the first time and really enjoyed it. We are kicking off our December trip with it again this year. I would definitely recommend it! The breakfast choices were quite good and plentiful. Food choices at that time included: Eggs, roasted potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, Mickey waffles, breakfast breads, fresh fruit and a delicious tropical fruit juice. Service was very good as well- quick to refill beverages and replenish any requests for a particular food item. It was very relaxing to not have to get up to serve ourselves - which left more time for enjoying the characters: Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto. ( in Hawaiian attire) There is music and dancing as well if that's something your family might enjoy. We found it to be our most enjoyable character meal. We also had a table right near the windows with a great view of the castle!

I would disagree. We dine around the World when we visit- enjoying both TS & QS locations. I have found most QS breakfast platters to be good - just not of the same quality as what is served at 'Ohana.

We dined here during our first visit. The teens loved it! They didn't do the parade the first time around, but then Pluto saw them and grabbed hold of them. DS15 pointed to a little girl about 3 and Pluto let go and took the little girl around after pointing that my son was expected to stay in line. The little girl went from almost crying to all smiles. I still have the leis that are customary. Also the only photo we purchased from the professionals.

Family style may be a bit underwhelming at first. As buffet goers, most of us are used to bountiful plates heaped over. The platters and trays come out with just enough for each person at the table to have some. Our server was very good about bringing more out almost immediately.

The juice is good. But I think my favorites were the pineapple and the sausages. DD12 ate so many waffles there, but barely touched them at any of the breakfast buffets.

As for the characters, that morning Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto visited with us. Stitch kept coming back. I don't know if it was because of how early in the morning it was, but we really felt we got personalized interaction. Other tables around us were also treated the same.

I do want to return, but it's not necessarily a must do on every trip.

We did the breakfast our last trip and honestly we could take it or leave it. It was good don't get me wrong but it didn't wow us that we have to go back. Which we are not going back on our next trip lol...we are trying a couple new places and a couple old stand bys that do have that wow factor for us :)

I have wondered about this as well. Ohana dinner has been a "must do" for our family, and I thought if the breakfast was half as good "I'm in!" But the menu underwhelmed me.

We don't need the characters so we usually hit trail's end for all you can eat breakfast if we feel like it... for the price it makes the food taste that much better -lol-

We considered it, but as I don't like at least half the items presented in the platter it was ruled out as a waste of money.

We'd far rather do breakfast in CP - especially as we love Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore.

Ok we did the Ohana breakfast yesterday and the food was exactly the same stuff at our QS restaurant in our resort... eggs/bacon sausage/mickey waffles...Characters were cute but I would not say its a must do.

As with all character meals, you are paying for the experience not the food.

Chef Mickey's eggs are the same eggs they serve next door at Contempo Cafe so this isn't regulated to just Ohana.

I haven't had their breakfast but I recently added a breakfast ADR on the Thanksgiving morning. I know the food will be overwhelming but trying to decide if my daughter would appreciate the parade and dancing enough to make it worth it.

We go for Stitch (one of DS's favorite characters). I personally love the POG juice and Kona coffee refills. But, other than that, food was good but we preferred Crystal Palace for that. We aren't heavy breakfast eaters too often at home, but we do have both 'Ohana and Crystal Palace ear-marked for our next trip, along with Kona Cafe. :)

Nope. Your trip is not diminished if you don't have this experience.

Its just food. You have limited time; go there if you like the menu and the characters.

Been going for 16 years, often multiple times a year and gave never gone or felt the need to even consider booking it

There is no meal at Disney that is an absolute must do, ever. If it's going to mess with your schedule, that will stress you out, which can domino out of control quickly. Cancel and feel good about it.

FWIW, we've had 6 trips in the last 4 years and have never been to Ohana. I had an ADR scheduled for this year and then cancelled because reviews lately haven't been great.

Trying to budget for meals. Disney site shows "$$ $15 to $29.99 per adult" for 'Ohana breakfast. Is it closer to $15 or $29.99 for breakfast? The kids are 14, 13 and 10. Can the 10yo eat for the child price?

Will Disney give me the current buffet prices if I call?
Thanks!

We chose to eat at Kona Cafe and it was a highlight of our trip! I would do that over Ohana (unless you're huge Lilo & Stitch fans) and enjoy the day you have planned.

Wow...that's more than I was thinking. Thats $100 for a family of three. I think I might just cancel my ADR for this Thursday morning.
