Is Ohana all you can eat?

As far as I know, yes. Coconut races are when the kids hit coconuts around the dining room with sticks. Very funny and entertaining for the little ones! :thumbsup2

for dinner?:confused3
And what are the coconut races?

:goodvibes

Yes 'OHana is all you care to eat. The appetizers, vegetables, noodles, salad and bread are brought to your table and you can ask for more of anything. The waiters circulate with skewars of the main course and you take what you would like.
Coconut races are for the little ones. The use brooms to push (race) around the room
I enjoy it here very much

It is all you care to eat and I am still full from last September....DEELISH!

The coconut races are cute and they also had a little "parade" with the kids and some kind of luau music with a fun lady as ringleader. My DD (then 4) had a blast!

Have fun!

Yes Ohana is all you can eat.. the food is AMAZING. But I couldn't watch the coconut races because my table was in the back.

It is all you care to eat. The food is delivered to your table 'family-style', meaining in big dishes. Each individual takes what they want and puts it on their individual plates. Appetizers, side items, standard beverages, and the awesome dessert are included in the single price. There are 4 kinds of meat entries and the waiters circulate the room continuously offering all 4 to each person.

All items are available throughout the meal, so if you think that one of the appetizers is the best thing since sliced bread, just ask and they'll keep bringing you more of that even while everybody else has moved on to dessert.:rotfl:

Periodically throughout the evening one of the cast members calls for kids to join her for fun. Sometimes it's a parade. Sometimes it's a limbo. Sometimes it's rolling coconuts around the center of the room. 'Ohana can be a long, leisurely meal and these breaks keep the kids from getting too antsy.

This is our must-do restaurant.

All you can eat. We were there 2 weeks ago and I ate myself SICK! The food was terrific. I have never came away from a meal feeling so full, I actually felt sick for about an hour because I ate so much. After about an hour of walking around MK walking it off, all was well again. It was my favorite meal of our trip!

We are going for the first time in November. I am excited about it after all these rave reviews! Any suggestions on what to absolutely save room for?

The food at Ohana's is all you can eat. I wish my stomach was a bottomless pit so I could stuff the dumplings in my face all night long....:rotfl::rotfl: they are amazing!

enjoy ohanas!

I enjoyed shoving those dumplings in my face too until I couldn't walk, YUM! And, the shrimp was to die for!

We ate at 'Ohana for the first time a few weeks ago. WOW!!!!!! I absolutely LOVED it there! We were asked a number of times if we needed more of anything, so yes, it is definitely all you care to eat!

Ate so much last yr that none of the adults and the 16 yr old were hungry the day until dinner. We were that stuffed. For my then 3 yr old grandson, I'd never seen him eat so much. He didn't use a stroller that trip and walked himself quite an appeitite(sp).

What kinds of meats come on the skewers? Is it like chinese food? Or is it like hawaiian food? TIA :goodvibes

It is not like chinese food.

The meats come on skewers, roasted/grilled over a fire. They are pork, peel and eat shrimp (needs cleaned too), sirloin and turkey (or chicken, can't remember they just changed that meat).

I like my steak med/rare and I always have to specify this because most the steak is way to done for me.

The potstickers and noodles are the only thing resembling chinese food and I wouldn't really classify them as that.

And to the poster asking what to save room for??? Most certainly save room for dessert. It is the best on property anywhere at WDW.

It is personal preference really but there is so much food I only eat the salad, small portion of noodles, several chicken wings (these are so so good) and the steak. I don't care for the other meats. This saves plenty of room for bread pudding. ;)

I would say the dumplings and noodles lean more towards pan asian cuisine. The meat is on skewers but the servers will take them off the skewers and put them on your plate.
