Is my mum being unreasonable asking this?

Hi

Still alot of money though in my opinion. Gone the days when it was the thought that counts. Now it seems to be over commericialised and its all competitions who spends more. It seems to be like this now.

If it works for you then good, but I still think its over generous.

TBH we all get something out of it, I get some one to come to wdw with me, I don't like the idea of just going on my own(DBF will not go to the USA). My mum gets a holiday and DD gets to spend some time with her grandma, she has often asked if her grandma can come with us. She does not get to spend much time with her as my mum works shifts and dd has school during the day.

If I was not going to take my mum I would be taking my sister so it is money that I will be spending anyway.

I think that sounds like a good compromise, after all, she's supposed to want to spend time with her grandchildren, and as we all know, there are some lovely 'grown up' things to do in WDW if she really doesn't want to do the parks.
you can also do fairly cheap overnight trips to the Bahamas with companies like Keith Prowse so that might be an extra idea

well she seems happy with the idea just need to find the best deal now.

DD is very excited that she is going to WDW with her grandma.

I know our troops loved it when Granny and Granda came to DLP.
Glad you sorted it out :goodvibes

I think that's a great compromise, especially as it suits you and DD too.

Well Done on finding a good alternative - I was wondering what on earth you could do!

Happy planning :thumbsup2

Thats great. Sounds like a good idea. At least you will have some adult company and your dd gets to spend some time with nan. :thumbsup2
