Is this night worth it for our family? 2 adults and 4 children- total cost @ 215.00 !!
Is it really worth it and why?? Please help me. I am trying to finish my budget! I have to say my kids are ALWAY disney characters for halloween so that is why I was interested!!

I've never been... nor to MVMCP. But I was considering MVMCP for my upcoming trip (that was supposed to be in Dec) and everyone told me that if it were MNSSHP that I should spend the money, otherwise save it.

Basically, people highly recommended MNSSHP.

It's an awesome party! Dress the kids up and trick or treat while riding just about everything you can possibly ride at MK!!!! We do more at these parties than in an entire day at MK, I swear!!! The parade is awesome, the fireworks - spectacular...It's totally worth the money, IMHO!!!!! :cheer2:

We don't have any young kids anymore, but we still enjoy MNSSHP. Just being in the park with lighter crowds allows you to ride the rides with little to no wait times. Adults and kids alike can do the treat-or-treat stations throughtout the park. The fireworks and decorations are great. We've attended in 2000, 2003 & 2005 and plan on going again this year.

We are adults and also love going.

I agree, it's awesome and well worth the money. The parade was probably the high point of the evening for us. The park was less crowded, the kids enjoyed the trick or treating and the not-so-scary atmosphere. Well worth it!

We went for the first time last year and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Well worth the money in my book. There were two teenagers with us--the girls had a good time and I think my husband and I enjoyed ourselves even more than them! We all dressed up, had a ball trick or treating, enjoying the park with minimal crowds and the parade was fun too.

Yes, Yes, YES!!!

Definitely worth it!

I too am not sure if it is worth it-
We went in 2004 and dressed up and really had a great time- the parade was fantastic! But.... that is a lot of dough. DH says go for it (Hes the YES guy I am the NO gal)
If we go this year I think it will be on an "off " day

BTW I feel that we spent most of the time trick or treating and checking out characters ( had to be a 45 min wait for Minnie)not really going on the rides.

It is a lot of extra money. I think well worth it though.

One way to save is not plan a park day. Go Down Town Disney or the Boardwalk or Spend the day at the resort, swim and then rest for the evening party. If you have regular tickets, purchase 1 less day. If your using a travel agent there are options on tickets so you won't have to purchase a ticket for this day and use the money to purchase a ticket to the Halloween Party.

These special tickets nights are awesome. Great shows, great parades and great fireworks. You won't see then on other nights only at these parties.

We did MNSSHP for the first time this past October with my Grandchildren. They had done MVMCP a few times. This was the highlight of their trip, they loved the Halloween Party and want to return in October again.

It is so worth it. rest for part of the day and get tot he park around 4, and have a great time.

YES!!! It's an opportunity to see the MK all decked out for Halloween, the characters in "costume" - a special parade - and all the kids (and many adults) dressed up!! It was AMAZING!!! :thumbsup2

Hi - When we've gone to MNSSHP, we've used that event as our park day, as a PP suggested - and worked our PH tix days around it. We slept in, hung out at our resort, and gotten to MK as soon as they started letting people in. No lines for rides. Big crowds for the parade - which we usually miss - and moderate candy lines. We have also skipped the free photo as I don't do those lines, either.

And STILL - an awesome experience just to see fellow park goers in costume!!!

In a word...Yes :cool1: We did this for the first time last Oct and it was great. The night we went it was sold out but there were no lines for the rides! We grabbed a great seat for the parade 5 minutes before it started. I would do this again.

Ok...I'm going to make people mad...but I always post what I honestly think and not what may be pc on a pro Disney board. We went to MNSSHP this past October for the first time. Would I do it again, no...def not. It is not worth $200+ in our opinion. It was fun getting to trick or treat. The parade is nice......but the park was packed. A lot of people compare MNSSHP crowds to the old e-ride nights, but they are **nothing** alike. The crowd is much worse; lines were long for the rides....everywhere (or maybe we just ended up with bad luck. Wilma was coming and a lot of people were allowed to swap their tickets to our night to avoid Hurricane Wilma.) For the price, I'd rather add an extra day to our trip rather than a few hours in MK at night.

JMHO,
