Is MNSSHP only at nighttime?

I know there's a "special thread" but thought my post would get very lost! I just want to clarify that the celebration is only at night, right? We are leaving for home on September 30th (first day of MNSSHP) and if we can trick or treat in the morning....we'll go into the park for a couple of hours before we catch our flight home... if not, we'll skip the park that last day. Anyone know?
