Is Memory Maker worth it for 3 days?

I can see the value for longer stays, definitely. But I wonder if three days is long enough to make it worth the price.

I guess it depends on how much PP Photographers, rides with pictures you plan to participate with. If there are 'newbies' in your group, that also may make it 'worth' the cost. In case you're planning to go to AK...we got some great Magic Shot pics just over the bridge in front of the Tree of Life. Only you can determine 'worth' for your group. Have a great time no matter what!!

We are gonna be there for two 1/2 days and are doing the memory maker for mnsshp and f&w. Better doing it then regretting that we wish we had.

We've paid for it twice, both for long weekend trips and have never regretted it. But if you aren't one to stop to take a picture, like on main Street or other areas of the parks, from time to time, or do not plan on meeting characters, I would be hard pressed to buy it. The ride pictures and videos are added bonuses for us, but not the reason we buy it.
Another example is we plan on only doing two days of regular parks, MNSSHP, and a water park day and for sure will be paying for it.

I also highly, highly recommend doing the magic shots too

Will you have more than 12 photos you want to keep in three days? You can always buy individual photos, so it seems silly to me to buy MM for such a short trip. I guess some folks want all their photos, but I usually just pick out a few good ones to buy.

Hi

Yes, it's worth it having a pro (okay maybe not a pro - pro) taking your pictures whenever and wherever you like has got to be worth the money.

Regards

Paul

I don't think its worth it simply because they same person used my own phone to take the same photos. They would use my phone, then they would use their camera. No point of paying for the same photo. Cept for ride photos, which I personally don't get.

We go on 4 days trips and get MM. I don't like carrying around my DSLR too much and I like having high quality photos in case I want them printed out so it's worth it to us. Since we pay for it, we end up taking more photos of the group than we would if we didn't buy it. We aren't those people who take a ton of pictures so it's nice to actually have some memories of our trips. The ride photos and videos are fun too.

It's like 50/50.

I do like taking photos but I rarely do anything with them.

I'm still so torn.

Maybe I'm taking a $20 gamble by not getting it now.
Good idea to do the breakdown of how much you would pay for photos and see how many you would buy...

My son has year pass so it was no issue for us but before that I was always against buying Memory Maker pass. Now that I am looking at the pictures from our April trip, if my son didn't have year pass, I think I would definitely buy it.

Pros:
1. Love looking at pics/video from our rides.
2. Depending on photographer and how many people in your party, you can have many different poses and shots.
3. Love have Disney cartoon characters added to our pictures such as tinker bell.

Cons:
1. Depending on the photographer, NOT all pics comes out good. I think some pics I took with my camera of my sons came out better.
2. Some photographer take FAST multiple pics so they all look alike when you look at them later.
3. This can be pro or con. You get multiple pics of same pose...they just adjust to look like they are the same because some are close up and some our far out poses but if you look at the faces, they are the same.
4. Sometimes there's long lines.

Because we were concentrating so much on getting much rides as we can in April and we didn't want to wait in long lines to take photos, we didn't get much as we want.

When we go back this November, this time, we are going to concentrate on getting MANY pictures we can because once we are back home, all we got are the pictures to look back on. My only regret is one of my son is not going with us in November so he won't be in November pics and after November I don't know if we will go back again.

Of course, if you go often, it might be waste of money since photographer would take photos with your camera but again you won't have special affects with the characters and ride pics (unless you buy them individually).

I think MM is worth it if you're willing to stop for pictures. You will get all the standard pictures and then you will get all the magic shots if you ask for them. I love the magic shots, they are always my favorite from our trips.

We are here for three park days. We have t stayed all day at any park. But that shots have been beautiful. My daughter met a lot of characters, we took several family photos, and we have had a few magic shots. It's been well worth it for us, and a lot of right place, right time. Two adults and one 8 year old. It's been fantastic not to be staring at my phone while my daughter met characters. it has been amazing so far. Just my opinion!

A friend and I went for 3 days a few years ago - we did a share w/ a few other families and found it worth it. If we had to pay the full price ourselves, probably not. But being just the 2 of us we never have photos together so this helped solve that problem! We ended up with about 200 pics before adding borders and all that. We pretty much stopped at every camera we saw.

This is us. Yeah, it would be nice not having to worry about taking photos or asking others to take some of us. And I can always try for candids on my own.

They will take the photo for you with your own phone..
