Is Melissa Etheridge's marriage to Tammy done?

At one time, I was a HUGE Melissa Etheridge fan. The last couple of releases have done nothing for me and I am not too wild about the newest song "Fearless Love". But, I do read the blog that her California sanctioned legally married wife, Tammy Etheridge (formerly known as Tammy Lynn Michaels) writes. She is hollywoodfarmgirl on blogspot.com. The latest blog (02/15/10) leaves little doubt in my mind that there is big time trouble in paradise.

I started to be suspicious that there was trouble around the beginning of the year when Tammy removed a part of the header of her blog that made a disclaimer statement about the opinions expressed were her own and had nothing to do with Melissa's. Then several of the blogs that were put up just seemed to lead me to worry a bit about the stability of their relationship.

Am I over reading into this?

Well, the plot thickens. She removed the originally posted blog from yesterday and replaced it with something very short that makes me think that maybe she didn't mean to put that out there publically or that maybe she was getting too many questions based on what she said. At any rate, I am still wondering what is up with them.

I too have followed her blogs, like I do Rosie. Sad, very sad. I am always sad when any relationship falls apart. They seemed so very much in love and perfect for eachother. I do think, in Hollyweird, their profession keeps them on the road alot. I hope they can work through it..but usually when you start blogging about it, it's pretty bad.

Yeah my room-mate knew when my boyfriend and I broke up because he came home to Melissa blaring on the speakers and my room all dark. So we joke that listening to her helps one get over a break up

I found that relationships that sometimes seem so perfect on the outside, aren't so perfect behind closed doors. My ex and I had everyone fooled for 4 years. People were stunned when we told them it ended, like it had happened out of the blue.

Oh Mark, your SOOO right. When I left my ex, of 10 years, EVERYONE was shocked. We were very good at faking it. If you do it long enough, it becomes 2nd nature. One day I just woke up and said, enough, best thing I ever did.

I wish them well...but your right, we are clueless as to what goes on in their lives.

Exactly. It's why, with my current partner that we show all sides of our relationship. If we're upset with one another, we don't put on a fake face. What you see is what you get. Luckily, those times are few and far between.

Christy & I are very real too, VERY real! But I gotta say, not ONCE in the almost 4 years that we've been together have I even considered breaking up. W/ the ex, we were in counseling 6 months into the marriage.

In three years, I've never once had that "I want to break up" feeling, which is such a nice change. We had our moments of arguing and testing the waters so to speak to see what each other could get away with. LOL. Once we went through that process, we learned a lot about one another and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

Doesn't mean we don't still have our moments.

Breakdown was the soundtrack to my last breakup.....how awful if it is true. The ending of a relationship is hard even if it is the best thing.
