WE WERE THINKING OF TAKING THE FAMILY IN MAY.
ARE THE CROWDS BIG THAT TIME OF YEAR...OR NON-EXISTENT.
THANKS

We've never been there in May, but have friends who go every May. They said the crowds are pretty low during this month, so I'm taking their word for it. ;) We'll be going May 23-28th. We've only ever been there in December and January, so we're really looking forward to taking advantage of the pools.

Have not stayed at DVC Resort in May, but we normally travel the last week of May first week of June each year. The crowds are not bad the weather is great. Our favorite time to go.

We've gone in May. The weather is lovely and most schoolkids are back in school.

We've gone the first or second week of May the past 4 years, 3 of the 4 years for Mother's Day, staying at OKW. Crowds are low to moderate. Weather is starting to get hot - low 90's but little rain. The Flower & Garden Festival is nice. Never had a problem getting a 1 bedroom at OKW at the 7 month mark.

First off, is there a BAD time to go to Disney World? May is one of my favorite times, we often go in May. Last year we went May25-31, did TT three times, and never needed FP. Also, remember that's when the F&G Festival is, so beautiful! Also, for any other golfers, the lowest time of year for golf rates.
We're also going 5/22/2004-5/28/2004.

We went in mid-May, crowds were light, weather was quite nice at around 86 degrees, humidity was just starting up for the summer - it was a great time to go!

thanks

I usually go mid-May every year. The crowds are not bad and the weather is just starting to heat up. However, the humidity is not as severe yet.

I go especially to see the Flower and Garden Festival. I really enjoy this time at WDW. Try it, you will have a great time!

I love WDW in May, it's a beautfule time to go...but I would go before the third week of the month because here in Florida most schools start Summer Vacations May 21, and the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass has black-out dates starting June7th so most locals and Florida residents will be going from May 21-June 6. So if possable I would go before then if I could. Most Georgia schools also are out for vacation the same time.

Hi,

I love going in May!!! The crowds aren't too bad & the weather is comfortable. I'll be going again the 22nd to 25th!!

This is great news! We are going to try to go the week of May 17th - 22nd. We usually go in the fall but wanted to use our DVC points as soon as we could!

As long as we can get ressies - we should be there then!

May is excellent!

We have been several times in May, and well be there next May 23-30.
Hope to meet some of you wonderful people while we are there!
We will be at the BCV.

Hi!

May is our favorite time to visit WDW. The weather is warm, and the humidity is generally tolerable. The crowds are quite light (except MK), which was the only place where we used fastpass. The Star Wars weekends are in May, and the Flower and Garden festival is spectacular. Avoid the Memorial Day weekend if big crowds are not to your liking.

Have fun!

May is very good time to go (our next favorite month is October). Our wedding anniversary is 5/18, so many years have planned trips around this time. Weather is getting warm to hot, but crowds aren't awful yet. Flower and Garden show is our favorite. The only year we had issues was 2001 when it was during drought and there were major fires near Epcot and it was so smoky our last couple of days you couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of your face - scarriest drive to the airport ever!

We are on the docket to go May 16-26, 2004 and are staying at BCV for the first time - sounds like some others will be there at the same time too.

Happy planning to all!!!

Another vote for May. First half of month is best (highs 85-86, lows 62-63). Last two weeks temperature, humidity and rainfall are edging closer to the ugly summer months. May is the swing month from dry season to rainy season.

First three weeks are mixed crowds -- busiest at midday. The last week has large crowds. Flower and Garden at Epcot is a very nice event.

I certainly hope May is a good time to visit. My wife and I are going over Memorial Day weekend next year--our first trip away from the kiddies. Our son turns 3 in March, so we'll be sorely in need of a little R&R by then.

My wife was pregnant during our last two visits, so there are a lot of thrill rides she has never been on. We're looking forward to mostly hitting the "E" Tickets, and moving at whatever pace the crowds permit.

We have been going to WDW in early May for the past ten years, to celebrate my daughters B-Day on the 9th. We have found the parks can be crowded or light. It seemes to change from year to year. But as someone said, any time is a good time to go. I base how crowded the parks are, on long my waite is in line. If it's 15-20 min. or less, to me that's not bad. If it is an hour or longer, then I would have to assume the parks are crowded.

The weather has always been great! Temps in the mid 80's to low 90's and for eight of the last nine years very dry. Humidity...some years worst then others. But, coming from northeast at that time of year, (after a bad winter) is very much welcomed.

I know my daughter and I will miss going in May. As she has grown older it's getting more difficult for her to miss school. So, befor we pick another time of year to visit. We are going to enjoy this last trip in May!

We LOVE going in the month of May. It's usually mid 80's to low 90's with less humidity than the summer months. We've never had much rain either. It's usually still a little cool in Indy in early May, so the sunshine and warm temperatures are wonderful!
