HI

Looking at going DW in May 2015 what are the best dates around this time, could possibly go in June if better?

May is okay, the earlier the better as the schools start letting out and the parks get busier. Depending on your timing, you can catch the Flower and Garden festival in Epcot. Star Wars Weekends also are in May and are fun but make HS very busy at times. Temps are pretty good in the Low to mid 90s unless you get lucky like this year where it was in the low to mid 80s for a period of time.

Definitely early May if possible. Low crowds, better temperatures, and F&G is still going on.

We've been in May the previous 3 years (I think it's 3). Weather wise is very pleasant, mid 80s to mid 90s but without being humid like the summers. We've had really good luck & had probably 5 showers across our 8 weeks being there in May, but I would call that good luck not the norm.

Crowds are good. It's usually in the 4/5 region on the crowd trackers, with a little planning & good FP+ use we queued more than 20 minutes only once or twice the whole vacation(s).

Star Wars Weekends usually make DHS busy Friday-Sunday but don't affect the other parks, just be sure if you can to get in & out before Presidents day which is the end of May I think, it gets crazy that weekend.

Our first trip ever to FL and Disney was the first week of May, 1982. That's when we fell in love with it!!
Definitely a good time to go after spring break craziness is over and school isn't out for the summer yet. We went this year the same week. It was hotter this year than any previous time we were there in early May. Had one full day of rain and I don't mean scattered showers. Rained hard enough to really mess up any park plans. And we've been there during rain many times.
I'd recommend too that you go as early in May as you can. With Disney constantly offering "specials", there are few times now that aren't crowded. But we lived down there for enough years to know that the heat begins to build by the first of June.
Then again, maybe you aren't bothered by the heat, humidity or crowds.
Enjoy!

We go the first week of May every other year and love it. The weather is warm enough to swim but not miserable hot like June (we used to go in June). The parks crowds are good too - short wait times.

I think so.
First two weeks offer gorgeous weather and we gave found parks feel neither empty or full.

(By gorgeous I mean low- 80s and little rain.)

Definitely early May if possible. Low crowds, better temperatures, and F&G is still going on.

ITA...:thumbsup2...we've been a few times in this time period and find it to be as good a time as you can chose, providing you are not looking for holiday resort decorations!

We were there this year during memorial day weekend/week. We loved it! It was hot at times but not unbearable. The crowds were not as bad as i had expected. We had a wonderful trip and are planning to go back memorial day weekend/week in 2016.

We used to go in mid to late May about every year, but DS's school has been letting out later so we've been going more late May to early June. Definitely the earlier the better. Every day it gets a little more crowded and really starts picking up heavy after Memorial Day. Now that DS is out of school I would go in early May, like the first week.

My family and I went in Mid May of this year. The crowds weren't too bad. The only time it was really crowded was the 24 hour event at Magic Kingdom the Friday of Memorial Day weekend.

We've done mid May the past two years, and will be doing that again next year (or a week earlier). We had no rain the last two years we went (13 days total), and the temps/crowds were good.

We are going to plan it next year to coincide w/ the F&G festival. My DD loves the butterfly tent.

We went the 1st week in May back in 2013. It was an awesome time to go. If you can do it I would suggest anytime that kids are in school to be a great time to go.

we went May 1st to 8th, it was good, most attractions were around 15 mins when we went, I really like the flower and garden show

We've taken at least three trips in May and always found it to be a nice sweet spot in the WDW schedule. They tend to wrap up rehabs on attractions by then to get them done ahead of summer, and since most schools aren't out until the end of the end it's not terribly crowded aside from Memorial Day weekend. The Florida heat hasn't really ratcheted up in May either.

It's my favorite time to visit.

We went late April-early May this year. Crowds were good and it wasn't too hot, although one or two days were mid to high 80s and when you are out in the sun that is pretty warm. Only thing that wasn't good was the rain - had several days where it absolutely poured for extended periods and one day of on and off all-day rain.

I'm another fan of May. We just did May 1 to May 15th. The first 2 days had rain and after that, it was clear skies for 2 weeks! Wonderful weather and very low wait times. We'll be going back in May 2015 again.

We are going LATE may (May 25-June 2) and I am really worried about the weather and crowds. We are normally winter and fall Disney people, but as the kids have gotten older, we can't have them miss school anymore.
Are we going to be miserable considering what we are used to?
