is "Mamma Mia" worth a school night?

For two years we have subscribed to the local theatre group"s Broadway series, but this year I dropped it due to cost concerns (5 shows this year, would have cost $700!). This is professional touring companies coming in and the profit goes to the local group.
I have already seen "Music Man" several times, "Kiss Me Kate" once (kids have also seen them), and didn't care to see "Miss Saigon". My sister is selling me her "Saturday Night Fever" tickets on the cheap.
The only other show, which I planned all along to buy tickets for me and my DDs (ages at the time almost 12 and 9) is "Mamma Mia". I just checked ticketmaster and the best I can do on the weekends is row GG, due to subscriptions, for $65 a pop. On a TUESDAY night, I can get row B for $60 a pop!
Is this show worth a late school night for the three of us? It's almost not worth it to be way in the back for any show, IMHO.

I'm not sure I'm going to be much help, but I can tell you this:

1. This is an EXCELLENT show and a must see!

2. We sat pretty far up in a Chicago Theatre ( the only seats I could get for a Sunday) and I didn't feel they were bad seats at all. The music is so uplifting (and loud) you feel you're right down there with them. Not sure how your theatre is set up though.

Can't help you on the school night thing. My first DD is in Kindergarten now and is going P.M. so she goes to bed late all the time.

Have a great time at the show...You'll want to see it again after you leave!:D

I just saw Mama Mia this past weekend. Although I enjoyed it (I've always loved Abba's music), I don't think it's good enough to keep the kids out late.

Now if it were Lion King, Aida or Beauty and the Beast....

I saw a touring production of Mamma Mia two years ago, on Mothers Day, with my sister and two of our girlfriends. We all LOVED it, and immediately bought the soundtrack CD.

My 9 year old DD loves that CD and plays it all the time, and I'd take her to see the show, if it came back to my city! Although I'd prefer a weekend show, I'd take her on a school night, in a heartbeat, if that's what was available.

I say do it. It's just one night. They can catch up on their sleep that weekend. :) :)

I just saw it a few weeks ago in Las Vegas and LOVED it! Actually, we went with a group of 26 and everyone loved it. I would take my kids if given the opportunity. :D

We saw it in London a couple of years ago and loved it so much that we have been trying to catch it in here in the US. It is a great show and I would take our kids out for it.
