It has been my understanding from these boards that DVC members are eligible to use Disney's Magical Express. However, on allears (in their transportation section) they state that DVC members staying on points may not use the service. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

We ARE able to use this! (beginning 5/5)

if you go with the right airline.

I don't think that SW will ever be a part of this. but they are cheaper than the others - so it doesn't made that much different to me.

now if I were a family of four or more - it might be a big difference.

Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised that allears got it wrong. I've found their site to be very helpful and informative in the past.

Just to clarify as this seems to be the biggest mis-conception... Anyone on any airline can use DME, it is just on the return trip... if you are not with one of the "partcipating" airlines you will need to check your luggage in and get your boarding passes yourself at the airport, rather than use the pre-flight check in that will be avalaible at the hotels. This is the same as the Cruise Line... anyone can have transfers, but only participating airlines will check you in at the peir... Here is the info that has been issued to CM's:

Courtesy of CastMemberTinkerbell (on another thread)Anyone staying at Walt Disney World owned and operated resort can utilize the Disney's Magical Express (DME) for their travel from the Orlando international airport to their Disney Resort. It will be free for at least the 1st 18 months of service. You can add it to any booking for arrival on or after 5 May. You can either add it to a WDTC package or to a room only reservation. The reservation center must have your flight information to set up the DME. You can be coming in on ANY airline to use DME. Even international flights. Around 21 days prior to your arrival you will recieve via mail vouchers and luggage tags that mark the luggage for the DME Cast Members in the luggage area. All guests need to do is debark the plane and head to the main terminal where the Disney Airport Representive who will be waiting to check guests in. You check in and they will point you towards your bus ( will still be mears but operating with more buses and more often) There will be planning videos playing during your trip By the time you reach your resort; your luggage should either be there or almost there.

All guests will get the return transfers back to the airport no matter what airline you are flying on. But in order to do the return airline precheck in at your resort (including your luggage check in) you need to be either flying on Delta (Song), United (TED), American , and Contential. The check in desk will be open 6 am to 2 pm. All guests will be given more info when they get their documents or a check in.

So do I call Member Services to do this?
